ok ... i stumbled on this site looking for a quote from a movoe, butttt ... what the f*** is this whole site about? iive figured ( i think) that fire fly is a tv show? im from australia so we mustn't get it here but someone ..... what is this siiiiiite abouuuuut?? im so lost

It's a damn good sci-fi/western created by Joss Whedon (of Buffy fame). It was about these not-so-lawful people traveling around in space. Mostly they were running from the government. I'm sure someone here can give you a better summary than I could.

so ok ... its about a sci fi tv show. So whats this site about then? it's like a discussion thing about the show (and much more!)? and who runs it? ... at least you've cleared some stuff up for me, spankyou! ohh and its old huh? by the guy who did buffy? haha i dont know!!!!

This is a fansite devoted to an American TV show that has been put on haitus. In the short time that it was on the air, it developed a "frighteningly organized" following (quote from a newspaper article.)

It was created by Joss Whedon, who also gave us Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and other shows.

It's not old, quite new really. It was put on haitus about 2 months ago.

It is a futuristic western show with awesome actors, directors, etc. We are waiting to find out the future of this show, and in the mean-time are finding new friends, discussing different aspects of the show and characters, etc. If this piques your interest, there are threads here that can show you where to get episodes on VHS, DVC, and DVD. Maybe you'll end up a browncoat!

Anyone else want to add something?

Get on a file-sharing program if you have broadband, and search for "Firefly" under video files. Download the episode called "Serenity" and watch it. Then you WILL love this show.

and just something abit extra, for the australian who knows nothing about firefly, channel 7/Prime, has picked up the contract to air firefly, now, since it's considered a cancelled show, it's a waiting game to see if 7 will ever air it. good luck to us, eh?
