Spider-Man: Brand New Day is so filled with truisms, plot machinations, and ricocheting feelings that it’s sometimes hard to focus on the core story, and even on our poor protagonist’s anguish. There’s a perfectly enjoyable summer entertainment locked inside this Spider-Man, if only the excessively busy mechanics didn’t get in the way.
But then, those mechanics — along with loads of elaborately fake-looking special effects, which now, rather than being dazzling, are just business as usual — are the hallmarks of all Marvel movies.

Thank you for that.
We can see how the Legacy Media gave The Odyssey 100% across the board for every aspect of the movie, and then they're going to have some dipshit who probably never read a comic book in their life give the $2 Billion + movie shit.

Would you like me to find pictures of who wrote this? Man or woman, I have a pretty good idea what they look like.

You're a fucking loser.

Oh...
I stand corrected.
The plot thickens with this one...

This review is MUCH harsher on The Odyssey than she was on Spider-Man.
I had to dig deeper when she didn't look like, well... like you probably do, Shit Golem.
Looks like she's a big fan of Indie and not a fan of Big Budget Spectacle trash overall.
Sounds like my kind of gal.
Wish I knew ya when we were young, Steph.

Holy fuck again!
This thing blew right past any high expectations I had after the Thursday/Friday US numbers.
Total Worldwide opening weekend: $927 MILLION!!!!!
I thought it might take until Wednesday or Thursday for Spider-Man to overtake the Odyssey, but it did in just 3 days.
The Odyssey's current total after 17 days: $911,397,000
The record for fastest to $1 Billion is End-Game at 5 days, and the 2nd is Infinity War at 11 days.
It would behoove Sony to do whatever they can to keep the foreign ticket sales up to date daily right now. Because it's summer, it's possible that it could get another $73 Million worldwide tomorrow and break that record. But even if it doesn't manage that, it will tie End Game for the 5 days to a Billion.
