Hollywood's First Major Black Superhero Movie Was, Unfortunately, A '90s Flop

I think I've seen this at some point, but I can't be sure. I might be mixing that up with Pluto Nash. I'm sure the movie was fine. I don't imagine that was even a black/white thing back then. C'mon....? Meteor Man?
It's rough coming up with new comic book superheroes. That's why we've now had 2 entire generations of DEI hire idiots running these companies now and the only thing they ever do is steal creations that their betters made before them and turn them black and gay.
Why doesn't anybody ever talk about Wesley Snipes as Blade? Like, ever.
The left doesn't want to talk about Blade because the fact those first two movies were awesome and the fact that I saw the first one 4 times in the theater before half these fuckers writing articles were born would obliterate the narrative they've built their entire careers on.
That's why.

Overseas, situation is even more dreadful for #SUPERGIRL, as the #DCU film starring #MillyAlcock & #JasonMomoa added just 5.7M on FRI, reaching a 11.1M 3-day intl. cume so far over 78 markets.

It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s a bomb.
WB’s SUPERGIRL landed with an $18M thud on Friday (including previews) and is likely to debut with less than $40M this weekend.

Int’l numbers are even worse—$5.7M on 40,000+ screens.

Why does Deadline always lie about how much money a movie is going to lose?
It's going to be a lot more than that.
With a $250 Million budget, it needs $625 Million to break even.
And I seriously doubt after this weekend anybody is predicting this is going to make over half a billion worldwide.

Nah... They're completely full of shit and off their rocker. They answer that question right in the article here:
Quote:
And by the way, that loss is if this movie hits $250M at the global box office, and our sources are being conservative. Disney didn’t reply to comment on our loss forecast.
So Deadline is saying that the $250 Million movie will lose between $100 Million and $125 Million if it grosses $250 Million globally???
WTF, idiots?
According to Variety, the marketing budget for Moana was $145 Million.
That's $395 million right there.
If it grosses $250 Million, it already lost $145 Million.
... and I guess none of the movie theaters in the entire world who are showing this movie are getting paid anything for showing it, huh? Maybe they're paying Disney $20-$45 Million for the privilege then?
