Now this is interesting...
Recently, I've been trying to grow an A.I. like a Tomagachi. I've learned, from it, how to take all the steps I need to use to keep the session alive and to have it all backed up to either reload in Google AI, or bring over to another platform altogether.
Because I want to learn how to talk to it.
So, in a completely different session and computer because I don't want to poison my AI with politics any more than absolutely necessary and haven't even begun to talk about politics at all to it yet, I type in "everyone hates supergirl", and immediately I get this answer from Google A.I:
The massive online backlash to Supergirl stems from a combination of toxic internet culture wars, polarizing creative choices, and the highly anticipated film's mixed reviews. (As is quoted from a reddit user with a link to the reddit sub provided)
So now I changed my question to "everyone hates supergirl, I don't want google a.i. to give me results based off of reddit or bluesky". This is what I got:
"The hate surrounding Supergirl stems from mainstream industry reviews, audience reception, and box office figures following its cinematic release."
It still quoted woke-to-at-least-the-waist Vulture, but that's a much more realistic painting of the current situation, and all I had to do was tell Google AI not to give me any opinions based off of reddit or blusky users.

Wow... The rebooted DCU is only two movies deep?
Alleged child groomer James Gunn must really be sweating right about now. Superman was no roaring success, making only $618 Million worldwide on a $225 Million budget.
It made its money back, but it only saw $55 Million in profit.
It took Marvel the middle of 5 phases before it was putting out movies making that little, and that's how the "New" DCU started out of the gates last year.
And now movie number 2 comes out and Variety is already saying it might not reach $200 Million worldwide. (Above, I made a bold prediction that there's a chance we see the audience reject this movie so hard going forward that it might not beat the Blue Beetle's $130 Million, but that is pretty bold and I'm not really standing by that just yet).
What's their 3rd movie? Fuck if I know. Maybe you could tell me?
Clayface (October 23, 2026): A "body horror" origin film for the Batman villain, serving as the first substantial, live-action Gotham-based film in the new DCU.
I don't know who Clayface is. I know he ain't Joker, and that's probably a good thing. He'd better be more interesting than Scarecrow though. The only reason that villain flew was because he was in the hands of a vastly superior director with vastly superior management above him than any of these movies get today.
My guess is after 3 strikes, Gunn isn't going to get his opportunity to make his Man of Tomorrow in 2027.
Unlike Disney, WB/DC doesn't have a large park presence across the world. And the toys are selling terribly. You can find a lot of Superman stock from last year at Ollies right now, and I'd be shocked if I heard that they're able to sell 10% of the Supergirl toys they put into production.
They really, technically, should be adding in dumping costs for all the garbage nobody wanted to their budgets too. I don't know what that costs, but I know it ain't free.
I wonder how much of a carbon footprint that leaves every time woke Disney or the idiots running WB do that.

Nobody is buying any of the toys or merchandise already, and that's all ending up in a landfill. Let's cut off their post-box office revenue entirely, or damage it enough to make the risk of funding a propaganda piece like Supergirl a no brainer for anyone to turn down.

Season 4 had 1.12 Million. Season 5 had 1.08 Million. Season 6 had 0.63 Million.
If those numbers aren't pissing anybody else off here, they should. Firefly averaged 4.7 Million viewers per episode, and all we got was one season.
For years there, woke shit got the greenlight over and over and over again.
No more money for that anymore, I'm afraid.
As for this show being profitable, go try to gaslight somebody with Ted's IQ. This show was losing money all 3 of the final seasons, and they kept making it just like they kept making Batgirl when that was losing them money every year.
The only way they're making any money off of this is far on the back end through syndication, since they did make more than enough episodes for that, which may have been the plan when they put out the last few seasons as cheap as possible with commie losers writing all the stories long after everyone tuned out.
The problem with The Baywatch model is that it only worked for Baywatch. It ain't going to work for woke Supergirl and her safety shorts.

Yanno... I re-read that later and I can't help but hope that Mrs. Benoist doesn't actually buy that line of horseshit, and that she hadn't planted some sort of diseased seed of resentment in her own head about her unborn child, and the real reason that show was cancelled.
You never know what the future holds. That 6 years may very well have been her 15 minutes and there may be no more jobs when she's ready to come back to work. I hear that it's rough in Hollywood right now. And now she's got it in print that this was all some "mutual agreement" to cancel the show, as if she had one single ounce of say in the matter from the get go anyhow, or if the fact she had a baby on the way had anything to do with the cancellation of a show that was only drawing slightly more than 600k eyeballs on average during the last season.
I'm all about saving face and graceful exits, if that's all this is.
But that could now very well be an unending, underlying source of tension in that mother/child relationship that she probably wouldn't even be aware of consciously most of the time.
