I can't stand Seth Rogan, but we know now that he's not just some idiot pot-head retard. This might be the funniest thing he's ever done.
First off, somehow he got this movie made and then got idiots over at Angel Studios to buy it and distribute it. Then he got some prominent right wing voices to endorse the movie who are either extremely stupid people, or more likely than not just didn't even bother watching it.
"What could go wrong? It's Animal Farm, and it's distributed by Angel Studios. Of course it's going to be great!!!!"
Meanwhile, Seth Rogan's pig farts in the middle of the movie and says "That's the Sound of Freedom".
Tucker Carlson comes out and sings the movie's praises...
Riley Gaines comes out and sings the movie's praises...
Riley supposedly got a free screening and her and her boyfriend (fiancee/husband?) watched it together and she just gushed all over it. I have a pretty good bullshit detector, and I can't get a real read on that. My take though is that I think she and her beau actually did see it, and she's got about a 90 IQ. She probably never read the book, or if she did, she didn't understand any of it. Her agent, thinking that the movie was beyond safe since it was distributed by Angel Studios, probably gave her a script to read/write and that was that.
I don't know WTF was up with Tucker. He's arguably a lot of things, but I don't think stupid is one of them. He also has a LOT more to lose than Riley ever did. I don't know if he's addressed any of the critisism of his endorsement of this movie, but he has to know that he was a played fool here. And this is coming off the back of Tucker going further and further off the range and losing a lot of support and viewership as it was.
Meanwhile...
Animal Farm's production budget: $35 Million.
Opening Weekend Gross wasn't even 10% of that at $3,301,363.
(A movie needs to make at least 80% of the PB back on opening weekend to have a prayer at breaking even).
It made $350k on cheap seat Tuesday, and it's already dead in America.
Maybe when it gets some international releases later this month some of the other countries might have a larger appetite for Pro-Communist propaganda.

I'm always trying to figure out what people were actually thinking when crazy shit like this happens. Just figuring that there HAS to be SOMEBODY involved in the process that was playing some 4D chess and that they weren't all idiots that got played by Seth Rogan.
What if the idea was to get low-IQ college "educated" kids to see the movie, and then possibly go and read the book afterward and have their minds blown wide open?

These two, both natives of blue Illinois, are still watchable because they usually keep their political views to themselves. The Cinema Snob does a much better job than The Nostalgia Critic though, but that's simply because he's nearly always a one-man-show, where Nostalgia Critic has a large team in front of the cameras, which also includes his shitty little brother who no-doubt would be out there burning Teslas and fucking with ICE everyday if his older brother didn't give him gainful employment.
That being said, they both gave it an F. And they both hate giving films an F.
