And where does one purchase said 5# tub of Crisco lard?

Umm, a grocery store?

Still, it's refreshing to find you're not pork-a-phobic...

Now drop and give me twenty.

*zoid, er, Neidermeyer loses his concentration as TiPpY applies lard to her person, and misses the jodhpur with his riding crop, accidentally striking himself across the thigh and swallowing his chaw.*

Greenly,

Dougie

I wonder what the checkout clerk is going to say when all I purchase is a 5# tub of lard and some newspapers.

And I like piggies. They are cute.

An apple a day, keeps the doctor away. Wanna bite?

Not much, to your face. But as soon as you leave, she'll start gossiping about you in the most horrific fashion with the other cashiers. Which is kinda the point of hazing...

Then you wrote:

Yes, they are, especially between two over medium on a raft.

Initiatively,

zoid
(I mean, 'Dougie')

That's the thing about you zoid, first you make me think deeply on the Confused thread, then you make me snort rootbeer out my nose (are you listening Rat?) over here!

I love being aboard with you.

-edited to add-
How come I didn't get initiated?

Packer fans welcome.
All others tolerated.

So everyone out there, if you are a good friend, you won't let your friends miss out.

Well said. Bravo and welcome to the kooky club. :)

Too much serious introspection makes Jack a dull boy. zoid likes to play, as much as he likes to think.

And then you added:

How come I didn't get initiated?

SimonsCandyApple asked for it, with a leading question. Little did I realize everyone would be lining up for some classic fraternal discipline. If this keeps up, I'm going to have to come up with a larger repertoire, or else risk causing nationwide shortages of lard.

Frankly, my frat days are pretty dim at this remove. Franker still, they were pretty foggy even when they were immediate, thanks to Hairy Buffalo Parties. Now, where did I put that pledge paddle?

Corporally,

zoid

P.S.
So, lard or baby oil? I prefer the pork fat, as it makes a much more satisfyingly moist *thwap!* when the initiate is paddled, with gobbets of the partially body heat-melted goo spattering the walls of the Sanctum Sanctorum. Gives the place the homey aroma of fresh-made bacon, and offsets the smell of stale beer (and other fluids) that the Sanctum normally sports; much better than baby oil, which tends to be cloyingly sweet. But, I'm respectful of the preferences of others...

P.P.S.
Delta Upsilon, UofH, '76-'78. Odd mix of jocks and heads. More like Animal House than was good for any of us. We never paddled our female guests (at least not as a rule), although we did do the lard and newspapers. What a mess.
