I don't understand why your neurologist isn't reaching for better seizure control BRENDA. I know "they" don't like polytherapy but maybe you need a different or additional medication. And, honestly, if there ever was a case for epilepsy surgery, yours sounds like one. I know surgery is expensive and your medical system is trying to save money, but it's so frustrating to think that they're letting your case and your life molder.

I've talked to him about my hands and truthfully when I don't over strain my arms they don't shake. He figures I am doing too many heavy things. Which is way he suggested the "old lady shopping cart." I didn't say anything but I started thinking no, no, no. I am not that old.
Also I am on 2 meds right now and he doesn't want to up them anymore because of side effects. And as long as I don't have another for me big one, like the I had playing mah jong the other year. He's okay with things and truthfully so am I.
I don't know if I qualify for the surgery. To my understanding it is only for people who can't tolerate or if the meds don't control seizures at all. And with the meds I do have control. Not that I haven't thought about that from time to time. Also I think may depend on where the seizures are happening. I was told in the temporal lobe, can't really remember which side now.
I appreciate the concern but I have bigger fish to fry with the results of the echo from last Saturday.

Got in a while ago on a lovely Saturday up here.
Washing done and lambchops secured for tomorrow. But when reaching for something off a top shelf, I didn't realize that I had pulled out my lower back. Am now sore. Ow.
Also no rushing over to my boss's. She also said the time frame was because of something else. So I am guessing they are heading out to their church after supper.

Yeah, just not going there with that. So, I try to break up what I have to do in smaller bits.
Yeah, the other one is Lamotrigine. He put me on that a year ago. Yeah, I am on thyroid med because my thyroid is slow. I started taking the thyroid med first I think. Some one yesterday asked me a question and I had to think about it. Finally I said around 35years, I've been living with this problem which is my hypoglycemia.
Yeah, he said as long as I can live with the little blips where I am only gone for a second and I haven't hurt myself. Then all is good and I don't want anymore seizure meds.
Lots of testing I am sure for the surgery would be needed up here. It would be up to the neurologist about that and where they are is in my file. My memory is very vague now about what the first neurologist or neurosurgeon told me.
I mean I haven't got the results yet from the echo. Technician told me it would take seven days. And with the holiday probably a little longer also not sure which doctor I will be seeing. Most like the cardiologist who will put me on meds or whatever and then my regular doc anyways. Thyroid test and need one seizure med refill.

. Sounds like they're pursuing your basic health. That's a good thing!
Don't be afraid of meds. I'm on 10 meds. I've cut them all down to the lowest effective dose, and doing everything I can to stay healthy and get healthier, but I need my meds.

Got a call from the cardiologist's office. Will go down there tomorrow as they are very hard to get a hold of on the phone. Must be test results. Yikes! Not much sleep tonight as my brain will go into over drive.

Call from the cardiologist today. My heart is okay. Heart function is good. He asked me how I felt and I said you just lifted a big weight off of me. And he said that's why he called me on Easter Monday to give me the good news.
