25 years on, is it finally time for a revival?

Given that this is clearly a test outing, something to see what anticipated demand could be for an animated revival, I wonder what metrics Fox (or whoever) is looking for. Is a million likes enough? A million reposts?
My actual prefered choice of studio would be Dropout but I suspect it would be beyond their price range, at least to do it in a decent way.

I hope they get the employment, but I'm too old to get excited about an animated series. It's a cartoon. To me, it's not firefly.

Wow. That's interesting. I was talking to my old man about this just yesterday. He had heard some vague rumors about the show possibly coming back but hadn't heard it was going to be animated and that it was actually happening. While we were talking on the phone I was kind of skimming a few articles to see details of where it would be.
My dad made me laugh when he said "We'll they're not going to put it out on Saturday mornings, are they?"
"Saturday morning??? Dad they haven't had Saturday morning cartoons for like 20 years. You watch cartoons yourself. It'll be on streaming somewhere, I'm sure."
But looking at the articles I didn't see anything about where it was going to be hosted. I said maybe they're just making it now and they'll shop it around. He said that they shouldn't have any problem finding somebody to pick it up. He and my younger brother were the ones who got me to watch Firefly in 2005. I'd never even heard of it until then.
I'm sure somebody is going to want it and they won't have any problems, but it will be interesting to see how many people come back together to help out.
This news has me hopeful that it's actually going to be pretty darn good even without Joss being involved. Makes me believe that they're doing it for the love of the game and not for the love of money.
It's not some ill-advised Cowboy Beebop reboot conceived and run by a bunch of idiots.

"Jack's" a problem. Why do you hate apostrophes, Ted?
Hey Google, is it Jacks or Jack's?
Quote:
Use
Jack’s (with an apostrophe) to show possession (e.g., Jack’s car). Use Jacks (no apostrophe) for the plural of the name Jack, the game of jacks, or the mechanical lifting device. Jack’s is also used as a contraction for "Jack is" or "Jack has".
Jack is a problem. = Jack's a problem.
Demand your college education money back. Public school failed you.

What are you talking about, dude?
Half of your posts here are clickbait videos and the other half are political cartoons.
I think you'd like cartoons. They're like political cartoons, but they show 8 to 24 images per second and they move. If we're lucky, this will be some high-end animation and we'll be getting all 24 frames.
I'm not expecting Don Bluth excellence here, but hopefully it's better than Netflix trash like Big Mouth or Paradise PD.

I think we could do better than College Humor. My preference would be Titmouse studios.
Vox Machina's animation is absolutely gorgeous.

Agreed Jack....would love live actors, albeit some are looking less than attractive/handsome 20 yrs on, but most important...don't muck up the product with DEI/woke nonsense.
