It was more "Horror" than either my old man or I thought it was going to be since we both went into it completely blind thinking that it was going to lean far more into our shared love of sci-fi, but if you guys are looking for a decent watch, last year's "Weapons" was a good time.
It's not going to make you sit and ponder its meaning or that of the universe after watching it, but sometimes it's nice to just shut your brain off for 2 hours and just follow along wherever the movie is taking you. This movie was great at doing that, and that's all it needed to do.

Having never seen any of the Comic Book movies that had Josh Brolin in them as Thanos, it only occurred to me today while watching this that the last time, and the only time, I'd ever seen him act in anything was as Mikey's older brother in Goonies.
Boy... We're all getting old, aren't we?
My old man's never seen The Goonies before. I think we're going to have to fix that.

My Boys from Wisconsin absolutely loved Weapons. I think you'd probably be hard-pressed to find a review for another movie they've done over the years that heaps this much glowing praise on it.
I found out through the comment section on this video that Zach from The Whitest Kids You Know wrote and directed it, and he also wrote and directed 2022's hit Barbarian. I'm going to have to see that one now too.
I guess back in the day this fan-favorite skit from WKUK was just foreshadowing Zach's future.

People in the comment section for the RLM video say they hope there's a scene where he's got Josh Brolin and Julia Garner doing this and it will be on the deleted scenes in the BluRay. That would be hilarious, and it could probably have actually fit in the movie and make sense if just a few other scenes were altered.
I wonder if Zach did the full gallon of PCP while directing Weapons.
