The headline seems a little off. 16 year old Kidnapped from Two Rivers/Manitowoc (WI) on Thanksgiving, tracked cellphone to Wyoming, arrested there on Interstate, extradited to Manitowoc.

Happened to my old man either in Illinois or in Wisconsin on the tollway back in the early 2,000s. Mexican Illegal truck driver destroyed his car, somehow hitting it not once, but twice, before he tried to flee the scene.
Undocumented, of course. Uninsured, of course. My old man's insurance only gave him blue book value which was about 1/5th of the value it actually still held for him in the Real World, of course.
For all I know, that dude got a slap on the wrist for it and is still driving trucks today. Probably still hasn't even bothered to learn how to speak, read or write in English too.
I'm glad that we're finally able to talk about these things again, and infinitely grateful that my old man is still here today.
My old man still remembers the name of the man who almost killed him. Maybe we should look into his crime wikipedia page and see if he's still hanging around and maybe Tom Homan would like to have a chat with him?
