Malcolm Reynolds. He's the glue that holds the crew together. Plus, Nathan Fillion has made him one of the most believable characters I've ever seen on a screen, big or small.

Simon. 'Cause he gave up everything for his little sister. Giving up everything was a WHOLE LOT in his case. I also like the fact that he sometimes does regret what he lost, but would still do it again, kinda makes him human.

Oh yeah, and he's so gorram hot. He's so swai, ya know? Makes ya want to bite him all over.

I like all of the characters and actors, but I’d have to say Simon is my favorite. Sadly my reasons are not as intellectual as other peoples... You are so right lostangle, Simon is HOT!

Ah yes, Simon shirtless...yummy

But I don’t see what courage it takes to say that Simon is great.
1. He is HOT
2. Intelligent
3. He is HOT
4. Loyal to no end to those he loves
5. He is HOT
6. Brave
7. He is HOT
8. Pretty tough
9. He is HOT
10. …He’s a doctor, that’s got to count for something

And did I mention he’s HOT?

Well, I meant courage to say that Simon was hot. Sorry, I was always afraid that I would be taken for a bimbo if I said that I liked a guy only for how he looks. I should take myself less seriously.

Definitely Mal. Nathan has made Mal one of the best characters I have seen in Sci Fi. The character has a lot of depth, and the development potential for Mal is nearly limitless. There are so many things about his personality and past that could be explored.

I love Mal and that is why I love Zoe.
Zoe is completely loyal to Mal, She backs him up in front of the crew but is not afraid of questioning him alone. She is tough and extremely smart and she is married to Wash. She has this great balance in her life.
