I totally forgot that Plinkett video came out after I made that reply and I've never seen it.

I only ever see them now when I specifically look for them. I'm in a limbo where I'm still subscribed, but I blocked them from ever showing up in my feed so they aren't a part of my autoplay rotation.
I love Red Letter Media, but my days of Rich Evans waking me up in the middle of the night yelling AIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! or just laughing 10 times louder than everybody else came to a middle a very long time ago.
I think I'm still subbed to way too many channels. I forget to look at a few others like that who I'm still subbed to but blocked from autoplay and my main feed.

Never even heard of Visions before. I was surprised after doing a search that it was Disney and it's only 4-5 years old now.
I guess the only way you could slip under the radar back then was if you were a good Star Wars show. All I've ever heard about was all of the rest of the awful, unwatchable crap.
Are you planning on watching this? I'd like to hear what you think if you do. The premise sounds interesting, but I really think that given the timeline and who was in charge in 2021, it's probably just another means of indoctrinating youth with the agenda, by putting well known characters into alternate nonsensical situations that lend themselves to pushing out whatever message they want to put out with their lazy, self-insert writing.
I loved TV shows like Quantum Leap and Sliders, as well as Marvel's "What If?" comic books when I was a kid. In the right hands, this could have been a hell of a show.
A look on Metacritic makes me believe my concerns about this show are correct. Regardless of what RottenTomatoes says about it, Metacritic paints a much different picture.

Decided to check out Rotten Tomatoes myself since the "journalist" in the article didn't bother saying whether that review score for Visions was the Critic or the User score.

It was the Critic Score, of course... 98% with nearly 100 critics on board.
User Score is only 61% at RT, even worse than the 6.7/10 at Metacritic.

7.0/10, with 27,000+ ratings... A fair bit better. 7 out of 10 should at least be watchable.

In what looks to be an insane coincidence, both Star Wars: Visions and the video game The Last of Us two both came out on exactly the same day. June 19th, 2020.
Wait... Isn't that "Juneteenth"?
Maybe not such an insane coincidence at all...
It would certainly explain why I never heard about this show though. All anybody could talk about in the pop culture arena for a month or two after TLOU2 came out was TLOU2.
People need to remember that when TLOU2 came out, for the first couple of weeks the Critic Score was 100%, 10/10, Five Stars... THE BEST VIDEO GAME EVER MADE!!!!

I agree with these writers in number.
