Actually, Brenda, I heard a bit more about this last night by a guy named Dave Cullen on YouTube and it sounds like it might not be half-bad afterall.
The guy they got to run this show (and do writing and staffing) got his start in hollywood doing Stargate and worked on all 3 of the original TV shows.
I'm hearing that this isn't a reboot. It isn't a reimagining. It's a continuation of the earlier shows.
I'm hearing that quite a few of the original cast from possibly all 3 shows may be in it along with new younger talent. Anderson has been retired from acting for a long time now I heard as well, but people are hopeful that they can at least get him back into it long enough to do a cameo or two.
You might actually get lucky with this one.

Great they got a writer from the original series and the spin-offs.
Finger-crossed I can see it. I won't be able too on tv but maybe on DVD. It would be great to see some of the original cast members from Atlantis. I hated Stargate Universe. But I loved Atlantis and as I said the original series which picked up where the movie with Kurt Russell ended. Think I saw the tv movies as well but not sure. Too long ago.
Oh, I know Richard Dean Anderson has been retired for years but he might be open to a cameo. Maybe General O'Neill can come out and play. Or another character that is a General.
