Meanwhile, Trump is releasing criminals who should never have left solitary confinement.

Drug Dealer Freed by Trump Sent Back to Prison

A convicted drug trafficker and loan shark who was granted clemency by President Donald Trump has been sent back to prison after being accused of criminal conduct since his release. Braun’s sentence was commuted by Trump after his family hired lawyer Alan Dershowitz, who had represented Trump during his first impeachment trial, to lobby on his behalf.

Jonathan Braun was sentenced to 27 months in prison on Monday for violating the terms of his release.

Since having his sentence commuted by Trump, Braun was found to have violated the terms of his supervised release by allegedly sexually assaulting a family nanny, swinging an IV pole at a nurse, threatening a member of his synagogue and evading bridge tolls.

Why It Matters

Braun’s case highlights the controversy surrounding Trump’s use of presidential clemency, which frequently bypassed the Justice Department’s traditional review process and at times favored people with connections to Trump or his allies.

I've filed the last 5 years because I get a $300 tax credit for my property taxes.

The only time I didn't file my taxes was that great job back when I was 20 and my boss just told me he'd have his account take care of them for me. Otherwise, I've got nearly 3 decades worth of doing my taxes, and I've done about 100 of them for other people over the years too.

It's really not rocket science, idiot.

Bottom line, if you're too stupid to do a basic tax form on your own, and it's only basic tax forms that poor people and most office employees/middle-class employees are going to be filling out, than you're probably also too stupid to do whatever menial job you're doing too.

6ix, I do NOT believe you. Why not? You never mentioned Trump’s tax cheating. There is no reason to believe you aren’t cheating, too. There is many reasons to believe you are only pretending to have paid, because Trump pretends to pay, too.

Trump has NOT released the last 4 years of his income tax forms to the public because he is not paying his taxes. A consultant working at the IRS released Trump’s returns, which showed Trump wasn’t paying the first time he was President. Since there is no proof that Trump paid all his taxes in any years of the past, there is no reason to believe he will pay this year or any future year.

There have not been many Trumptards who were enraged by that behavior because they cheat like Trump does, so why would they care if he cheats?

Trump still has not paid those taxes, but an Ex-IRS contractor was sentenced to 5 years in prison for revealing that Trump did not pay. Not surprising, but tax cheaters underpay each year at least $1 trillion following the well documented example of Trump’s cheating. Trump’s terrible behavior is destroying voluntary compliance with the tax code of all tax payers.

Trump Wrecks His Case for Tariffs as SCOTUS Rant Backfires

As Trump unleashes confused statements about the Supreme Court case on his tariffs, a trade expert explains how he accidentally undermined his argument for them — and why all this is trending toward a major fiasco.

riffs-scotus-rant-backfires

Sargent: It really seems like it’s a catastrophe in the making. Well, here comes the main event. In two tweets, Trump raged that the people who are suing to overturn the tariffs have told the Supreme Court that there would be far less in revenues to pay back than there actually would be.

Trump is saying this because he’s trying to imply it would be an even larger disaster than it already looks like if the Court did overturn the tariffs. He’s trying to dissuade them from doing that. So now I’m going to read two lines—one from each of his tweets.

The first one: “The actual number we would have to pay back in tariff revenue and investments would be in excess of $2 trillion, and that in itself would be a national security catastrophe.” That’s the first one.

Now here’s the second one. In it, he says, “The return of funds would be in excess of $3 trillion.” So it went from $2 trillion to $3 trillion in a matter of hours. Alex, that’s quite a difference, isn’t it?

Jacquez: It’s quite a difference, and it’s interesting that Trump’s arguments—which he has been pushing forward for several months now on Truth Social—do not match the arguments that his lawyers are making in court.

Trump, it seems, is trying to pressure the justices by implying that this will be some massive economic disaster if they rule against the tariffs. But of course, the justices seem to be focused squarely on the legal interpretation of the IEEPA statute.

And so, I think by becoming more and more hysterical and exaggerating, he’s not doing himself any favors.

I'm sure he's an "expert".

I'm sure he has nothing worthwhile to say.

American Energy Under Threat by Trump: Political Attacks Threaten Half of All Planned Power in the U.S.

Of course, the 800-pound elephant in the room is the political weight of the fossil energy industry. In a new report, the Solar Energy Industries Association takes the gloves off, accusing the Trump administration in all but name of mounting politically motivated roadblocks that could bring more than 500 solar and energy storage projects spread among 44 states to a screeching halt through 2030.

The threatened projects identified by SEIA include 73 gigawatts of solar power and 43 gigawatts of storage that have federal, state and local permits pending. Combined, they total almost 116 gigawatts. “That is more than half of all new power planned to be built in the United States through 2030,” SEIA notes.

“At a time when electricity demand is skyrocketing to meet the needs of AI, data centers, and manufacturing, the Administration is using every tool at its disposal to slow down solar and storage projects,” SEIA emphasizes.

“This blockade is undermining American energy security, driving up costs for families and businesses, and exacerbating the ‘energy emergency’ that the Trump administration itself declared earlier this year,” the organization emphasizes again for good measure.
