Republicans had better get it through their thick skulls that off-year and special elections are important and figure out a way to be competitive in them. The Lefties have the entire school system on lockdown and they send their kids home with fliers on who to vote for, and they use all that seed money they've got to canvas neighborhoods. And the Republicans have nothing. No way of getting the word out to anybody who isn't obsessively watching Fox News everyday.
If these blue states were required to have elections at the same time everybody else was, they probably wouldn't have won many of Tuesday's elections at all. It would have been a near-complete reversal of last night had that election taken place a year earlier.
Republicans have less than a year to figure it out before midterms. And unless some good things start happening soon, they're going to have their work cut out for them.

The key point is that Trump was not able to deport enough of these Illegal Alien Invaders from NYC quickly enough.
