I was wondering if anybody would want to make one or could tell me if there's a program to allow me to make one myself. I'd be glad to help as well if anybody wants to. I just thought, since I have a pic of the cast as my wallpaper and a screensaver, maybe I should deck out the rest of my desktop.

Good luck to you. Its seems there is not much support for such a venture...

I tried too. http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=8998

Here`s one way you can start-

Firstly you will need patience - a DVD which you can record audio from (Preferably straight into the PC)

Backdrop images - look at the wallpapers in the Bluesun Room and Ask(!) if people wouldn`t mind using it in a firefly based theme (with credit of course) - they might like to post or email a newer version with their credit on the image ((C) Slartibartfast or whatever)

you need other images too - which can be resized to be used as Icons

then you might want to include a screensaver too -
take a look around for Free Image screensavers where youcan use stills from the TV show or Artwork (with permission) to cycle through

when you`ve got all your bits together the easiest way is to put all the elements in one folder say (c:\My_Theme) make sure that you state in the final product that this is where the files should go on someone else PC.

Then you start customising your own windows setup/theme/sound files/wallpaper etc.)

Once you`ve done all that, you save the theme (say "Firefly theme V1.0 always let people know what version it is) and then copy this and the components (audio files, pictures &icons) to a zip file.

And there we have it a quick(ish) way to start - there are help sites out there - most people just don`t look - try www.google.com and put in something like " "Windows Theme Creation" "(with the inverted commas)

Regards,

Darin (Zol.)

p.s. I don`t know Windows XP so this is based on knowledge of the previous windows versions.
