administration basically wants to tax every cargo ship docking in the United States. On top of tariffs

Not even a who owns it fee, but simply where the ship was built even if it’s owned by a US company.

Yeah, nobody really builds ships so that’s going to go over well.

The Rising Risk of a Systemic Financial Meltdown:
Always look upstream.

Iran war fallout raises odds of a U.S. recession, economists say

Economists with consulting and research firm EY-Parthenon see a 40% chance of a severe downturn over the 12 months, up from 35% before the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran on Feb. 28, citing persistent inflation due to the conflict's disruption of global oil supply. Roughly 20% of crude and natural gas normally flows through the Strait of Hormuz, which remains all but closed to oil tankers and other shipping traffic because of the war.

"The combination of tighter financial conditions, more uncertainty and higher inflation is going to erode growth," EY-Parthenon chief economist Gregory Daco told CBS

Trump, the president you posted about again and again saying he would be the best choice for president, is what it is taking to put this country on a downward spiral comrade. First tariffs then the Iran war; wonderful.

Do you ever get anything right?

The media denied we were in a recession for nearly 4 years straight under Joe Biden*, but they're calling it a recession now?

Go fuck yourself, BI.

It is Joe Biden*'s fault.

But Trump hasn't fixed it yet.

I'm sure he's got some aces up his sleeves, but a lot of people are going to figure out they don't have health insurance or they've got to work 80 hours a month at least to keep getting them unless you fall under several seriously debilitating illnesses that qualify you as medically frail. We're talking things like cancer and serious drug dependencies or mental problems. Like you're lock me up in a cage bad.

We voted to get all of the illegals off of medicare and out of the country. We didn't vote for tens of millions of American citizens who have healthcare to lose it.

If he doesn't plan on releasing any of the REAL Epstien stuff before midterm's he'd better have something else big if we're still in the middle of Iran and nobody is seeing any good news economically.

It's great the border is closed and we're shipping so many people out now.

But unless something changes big time, it looks as though Trump got suckered into a long war by the least popular leader in the world, a dead neocon and a braindead neocon and he's left holding the bag, so we're all left holding the bag.

You can't be doing war AND not fixing the economy that the guy before you broke and expect many people to have any sympathy for you a year and a half into your term.

I believe you Trump, when you talk about the trillions that are going to be invested, but where and when, and when can we all expect to see this booming economy that you've been promising us for 2 years now?

It's alright if it's not going to happen tomorrow, but we need to know that there is a PLAN and that the PLAN is going to extend beyond your term and you need to tell everybody exactly what they can expect, and what they can expect to lose if they ever vote the Democrats back into power again. Especially all the American-Hating progressive psychopaths.

My car insurance just went up another 15% this six months, I'm paying as much for water and trash pickup as they do in Crook County, IL after years of being about 40% cheaper after the price hikes during Covid just kept happening and still do, and I've only had two gas/electric bills all year that were under $200/mo. Granted it's a VERY hot and humid summer, but these fucking prices are bullshit.

You HAVE to make it where the staples are cheap. If people want to pay extra for the goods and services that nobody needs to live, so be it.

But monthly utility bills, insurance, REAL food and cable internet need to be beyond affordable.
