Below are the names of those behind zero hedge. Don't miss what I've highlighted in red below. This folks is why comrade troll SIG loves to quote zero hedge.
In addition, Lokey said he faced constant pressure to frame stories in-line with a particular world-view, which he described as “Russia=good. Obama=idiot. Bashar al-Assad=benevolent leader. John Kerry=dunce. Vladmir Putin=greatest leader in the history of statecraft.”
All of this matches SIG's playbook here and Putin's globally; exactly.
The men behind zero hedge
Colin Lokey, a 32-year-old former Seeking Alpha director
Daniel Ivandjiiski, a 37-year-old Bulgarian-born former hedge fund employee who was barred for insider trading in 2008
Tim Backshall, a 45-year-old credit derivatives strategist
Despite its populist tone, Lokey told Bloomberg he recently left Zero Hedge because he didn’t see eye-to-eye with the others when it came to editorial vision.
“Zero Hedge ceased to serve that public service years ago,” Lokey said. “They care what generates page views. Clicks. Money.”
Lokey claims Zero Hedge’s focus on traffic and revenue is hypocritical, but Ivandjiiski sees things differently.
Finally, Zero Hedge addressed the accusations of systematic bias in its content.
“We are certainly ok with being the object of other’s conspiracy theories, in this case completely false ones since we have never been in contact with anyone in Russia, or the US, or any government for that matter,” Zero Hedge says.
The site claims it has never accepted a dime of funding outside of advertising revenue and that Lokey was never pressured about how to frame his articles or editorialized.

According to the Bloomberg article, three men have been churning out all of the content at Zero Hedge, using the joint pseudonym “Tyler Durden” from the Brad Pitt film “Fight Club.” The 1999 cult film, according to Rolling Stone, is “about being young, male and powerless against the pacifying drug of consumerism. It’s about solitude, despair and bottled-up rage.” That ethos is frequently on display at Zero Hedge.
The three “Tyler Durdens” outed by Bloomberg reporters are Colin Lokey, who has now left Zero Hedge in a fit of pique and is resp

Zero Hedge (or ZeroHedge)[a] is a far-right[13] libertarian[14][15][16][17] financial blog and news aggregator.[14][15][18] Zero Hedge has a bearish market sentiment in its investment outlook and analysis, often deriving from a strict adherence to the Austrian School of economics and credit cycles.[19] It has been described as a financial "permabear".[20][21]

I'll let everyone decide for themselves.
The person who wrote the "expose" about Zerohedge's supposed Russian bias wrote this:
Quote:
The Bulgarian connection intrigued me because Zero Hedge runs political news and commentary that “frequently echo the Kremlin line,” as a 2018 RAND Institute study put it.
So, I looked up the Rand study. It referred to Sputnik and RT as the original source of much disinformation, amplified and repeated by bloggers, trolls etc.:
Quote:
These entities include news aggregators, far-right or far-left sites, blogs, and users drawn in by clickbait headlines that reinforce their previ-
ously held beliefs, in addition to media outlets that frequently echo the
Kremlin line but are not obviously affiliated with Russia, such as Zero
Hedge (PropOrNot Team, 2016).
https://www.rand.org/content/dam/rand/pubs/research_reports/RR2200/RR2
237/RAND_RR2237.pdf
First of all, I still occasionally read RT or Sputnik just to see what the Russkies have to say about any particular event, and I can say for certainty I have never seen anything of RT or Sputnik in Zerohedge.
So the Rand Corporation apparently got paid for writing a piece of dreck that 1 hour of actually reading RT or Sputnik would have dispelled.
Second, the person who bitched about Zerohedge, Colin Lokey, was at the time a raging alcoholic, who had a strange, dependent, and resentful relationship with Daniel. That's my assessment of the texts Colin sent to Daniel, anyway.
Quote:
"Unfortunately, Colin was also revealed to be an emotionally unstable, psychologically troubled alcoholic with a drug dealer past, as per his own disclosures,” Zero Hedge adds.
The article goes on to claim these issues were the true cause of Lokey’s departure and were not mentioned in the Bloomberg piece at all.
Zero Hedge included a number of message captures allegedly from Lokey that detail his issues with alcohol impacting his work, including the one below.

Oh, I know. But I don't have time to read all the way to the bottom. What I like about ZH is that it gets the news fast and gets right to the point. I just screen out the 90% that I'm not interested in or that's opinion.

I know. You're busy. Everyone is busy. But studies show that 75% of people only read the headlines before passing on articles. You really should take more time to read deeper, even if you trust the outfit you're getting your news from. When they know you're not paying attention anymore they'll get away with slipping in untruths.
I get a lot of my stories from RCP. I feel that they're fairly centered, with a slightly rightward lean, but they're a news aggregator first and they post an even amount of left/right stories, oftentimes on the same subject so you can see how differently different outfits report on different stories.
I don't listen to any of their podcasts or follow anyone involved. The only person I even know by name at RCP is "Carl Cannon" and that's only because his name shows up toward the bottom of pretty much any video they post below the transcript of the video. I honestly don't even know what he does there.
People on the Left used to complain about RCP's polling aggregates, but they're always right... or at least they're closer than anybody else is when they're wrong. 538 went out of business after the last election because they were so fucking terrible in their lying polling aggregates.
The extremes can be pretty staggering, so it's no wonder that ideologically captivated retards like Ted and Second are so fucking bonkers everyday when all of their news comes exclusively from the far left fringes.

I love how much you care about it now, Theodore.
Got 4 years with nothing but crickets out of you until a couple of months ago.
But keep pretending you give a shit about this any more than you do about Ukraine.
Keep focusing on Trump instead of fixing your party or starting a legitimate third party and see what happens.

Every time THGR gets his ass handed to him, he changes topics.
So, to be clear THGR:
Inflation isn't going up noticeably (yet) bc of tariffs.
Beef prices are going up EVERYWHERE, not bc of tariffs.
Business failures are about on par with historic rates (so far), not counting Covid years.
All that may change, but currently there doesn't seem to be a problem.
Furthermore, that Congressional letter full of hand-wringing about small businesses and POC and women and poor people...?
Do you know what caused a small business apocalypse? When Bethlehem steel shut down, killing 50,000 jobs in WNY.
When the automotive industry cratered, wiping out MILLIONS of jobs across the country, not only grocery stores and hairdressers and barber shops but also the manufacturers of valve springs and ball bearings and gears and axles and windshield wiper blades.
You can't run an economy on small businesses. You need a thriving economy full of good paying jobs, and to me the question should be "How do we get there from here?"

Inflation and Tariffs: Inflation has picked up since the tariffs were announced, with consumer price index data showing outsized increases in tariff-sensitive categories, including beef. The average tariff rate has increased to 17.4%, the highest since 1935, costing households an extra $2,300 in 2025.
Your long winded posts with you latching on to something, and completely getting it wrong are classic Signym. The other reasons you quote for high beef prices don't mean shit. This is not complicated. You don't need graphs or water shortage statistics to figure out what Trumps tariffs are doing. First, you have the price of something, in this case beef, add the cost of the tariff onto the product. In this case beef.
Even a child knows if you add 25% to the cost of something, then its cost goes up 25%. I'm laughing here because this is so simple. Again, even a child knows if American companies are paying the 25% tariff, some of that cost is passed onto the consumer; still laughing. By the way, in America it is called a tax. Trump raised everyone's taxes by raising the cost of everything they buy.
I can't believe how much time and energy you've put into two pages of this thread, arguing and defending Trumps tariffs. All the while saying they aren't killing American companies and consumers. He raised the price of everything, for business and consumer alike that has a tariff attached to it. Which is everything.
By how much did he raise our taxes? By the different tariff amounts attached to each product you buy or pay for. And more and more of those higher prices being picked up by our companies are passed onto us. I'm still laughing comrade, not really. This is a fucking nightmare.
Now, a tariff adds that amount onto the cost of a product. Regardless of other factors that may increase a price. A 25% tariff adds 25% to the cost. It's a sales, a consumption tax on the consumer. There's nothing to debate lass. If you think there is, ask a child to explain it to you.
And just a reminder. Trump is giving 2 trillion dollars in tax breaks to the top .01 percent. Where is he getting the money to replace his tax cuts for the rich? From tariffs, i.e. sales, consumption taxes of course. Also, by denying healthcare to millions, cutting NASA's budget by 47%, and so on and so on.
You know it takes a real moron to give an idiot an important job. And you did just that.
Next topic...
