My cat had a bad reaction to a flea prevention stuff. I don’t remember what it was. May have been Hartz. It’s a risk you take when you put a highly toxic substance on your cat. It’s like putting a dab of cyanide on the back of your neck. The results aren’t always going to peachy. But my house was awash in fleas and I had to eliminate them. So I poisoned the house and poisoned my cat and hoped both would survive. I keep my cat inside to prevent that from happening.

Also I live on a mountain where there are coyotes and lynx prowling about which would eat my cat. And since my balcony overlooks a cliff and my cat has no front claws, I can’t let out on the balcony either. This dumb animal just falls off stuff for no reason. It’s really rather useless.

I get all supplies for my pets through their vet, Grand Avenue Vet in St. Paul MN. They've always taken such good care of all the brainless twits who drop fur around my house.

My sheltie, Connor, has epilepsy and is medicated to prevent seizures. Both he and his brother, Duncan, had them bad. It was heartbreaking to see and am so grateful for GAV and their care.

Thanks for the info!! I am a certified veterinary technician and i had not heard about this. I will certainly pass it on to my clients.
Another good product (you do need a prescription for) is Revolution. It prevents/treats fleas, ticks, heartworm, and some intestinal parasites. It is more expensive but a very good product.

The only sad thing now is coming up with the money to pay the vet bill. While I'm grateful Angel's well again, I'm about to cry from the stress of trying to come up with almost $400 because I'm a broke college student....any suggestions LOL?

Do you have a trade skill? Sewing or carpentry, painting or somesuch. I find a quick way to earn cash is to offer services. NO "servicing" jokes! :P
Really though, Proof read someones papers, sell some CDs. (You can always replace them)
Sell cookies and tell people what it's for, You'd be surprised how many people who won't spare a penny for another human being are suckers for cute little animals.
Sort of dumb example is when I was in college I was taking too many art classes at once. I was so broke, I had no credit card and I needed art supplies bad. I dug into some of my mothers oils from college and used machine oil because I couldn't afford linseed oil! LOL! It worked great! later my teacher was asking how I got some effect on the piece I turned in for my final. When I told her she looked at me like I was a complete LOSER. Ah well, she had graded it already and gave me a super high score!
Anyway, sorry for the sort of thread jack. My point is, theres lots of things you can do.

Maybe you could "zazzle" or "cafe press" some t-shirts with your kitty on em??

Whisper: Thanks,for the recommendation. Simon LUVES the outdoors. We put him on a harness and a leash, thanks to the local leash-law, so he doesn't get out of our yard... well, not too often, anyway.
