No, I am in California. I emailed you with a different address, and mentioned the possibiltiy of using the phone. I do have AOL IM buddy list, which I have added you to, curious if that will work. Also curious if any of the other people that you have contacted are AOL members? I have been receiving emails today on both my addresses and even sent test messages that came thru. Regards,Spencer

I too am wondering if there's an AOL problem. I've sent two emails from weltanscha@aol.com and haven't heard back.

In any case, TRS, if you can get back to me, please do. I've created another account, shinyff@yahoo.com, in case AOL won't work.

Thanks,

Tom

I have purchased and received a set of DVDs from TRS80, and they arrived in good shape. The video is near broadcast quality, and they appear to be readable on all players that can view DVD-R.

Thumbs up.

I think that there is a problem with AOL. I also tried to e-mail TRS through my AOL account, he said he responded but I didn't get it. Then I used my Yahoo! mail. I got a response so quick its almost scary.

Just received DVD set from TRS80. Lance, you, sir, are a steely-eyed missile man!

Menus are well constructed, with a nice close-up of our lady S, and the end theme playing over them. Chapter breaks within the eps. Vid quality is pretty much broadcast quality. Audio is just a hair tinny at some points, but generally excellent. I don't have my surround set-up yet, but the stereo separation was groovy, and "virtual surround" processing on my player *did* have me checking my 4 and 8 o'clock from time to time (esp. during the battle of Serenity Valley). So I suspect that he pulled off the Dolby encoding like a pro (as others with better equipment have already said)!

I've only had time to watch sections of the Pilot, but early indications are that Lance has done a truly shiny job!!

Add to this the fact that shipping was blazing-fast, e-mail contact was exemplary and downright personable, and he's doing this for not a hair of profit (apart from inadvertent variations in shipping costs [a small amount, which he himself reported on this board]), and I can enthusiastically and unreservedly recommend doing biz with this fellow! This will handily tide me over till the official DVD(s) come(s) out.

Thanks, Lance!!!

Hi again Spencer,

Let's all blame AOL !

Let's try the AIM thing...but my ID isn't the obvious choice. I'm "s0beknight" (that's a zero). I'm on most of the time.

If you can't get hold of me that way post here and we'll figure something else out

Hey PBGaines and Noocyte,

Thanks for the nice comments! I'm glad you like them!!

'cyte...you don't know how accurate you are about the missile man comment. As a matter of fact you saw my handwork on CNN during the first Gulf War. Remember all the footage of the Patriot (Scud Buster) missiles? Guess who was one of the ones responsible for the computer systems that made all that happen!

Sure was fun spending taxpayer money @ $700K per shot! w00t!

Lance, I just want to say you have made me very happy by producing these DVD's and making them so easy to obtain. The quality is the best I have seen. I have DL'd all of them and none are anywhere near these. If anyone is on the fence about paying for these get off, as I am impressed. Thankyou Lance you are a good man.
Dana

No go-seh! Now **that's** what I'd call shooting skeet! Glad you've found some (truly groovy) peace-time applications for your wares...and that we have need for little besides, in the coming days.

Didn't Chris Rock do a whole bit about how violent crime would all-but disappear if bullets were comparably expensive?

Anyhoo, thanx again. And, for the rest of you, as PBGaines said, y'all get off that fence!

Ta.
