modern animation, there are a multitude of styles, and many of which are indicative of the part of the world where they are from. In particular, Japanese animation has a style known as anime, which has several key details that help to define and set it apart from other styles. Now, in the past few decades, the popularity of anime has increased in western countries, particularly in the U.S. As a result, several American shows have popped up that borrow from that style, using many similar art forms as anime shows. One of the most notable examples is the series Avatar: The Last Airbender, and its successor, Avatar: The Legend of Korra. Both shows exist in a world that takes many of its styles and cultural aspects from various Asian cultures. Another lesser known example of a show that also takes influences from Eastern animation is the show Samurai Jack, which was heavily influenced by Japanese art styles and mythology. Even big name movies are sometimes influenced by Japanese styles, with Big Hero 6 from Disney being a prime example. It is a complete combination of American and Japanese styles, using a variety of elements from both cultures to create a unique alternate reality. Besides American animation, there are also several European TV shows that take away from Japanese anime styles, both visually and story. Two such examples are the French shows Code Lyoko and Wakfu. Both are clearly influenced by different anime styles.

Looks like Marvel Disney will reset the Universe in some big Multiverse Fantastic Four Galactus Explosion, meanwhile there is Marvel Disney Television's Ironheart ... guys like Critical Drinker already ripping into it, Feminism, Wakanda, Proceeds to rip off Iron Man ...Batwoman, Batgirl, She-Hulk, Captain Marvel,

...there are some things that work, Wonder Woman for example, cool iconic like the classic 'Blade' or Ellen Ripley Sigourney Weaver and her battles with an extraterrestrial lifeform, commonly referred to as the Alien "Xenomorph" but this ...I see why they already hate it

Fortunately, it looks as though people are not paying for shit movies anymore, so this probably won't fly.

When they started putting this together a few years ago though, the mode of thinking was probably "Who cares? These stupid assholes will open their wallet and slap down good money on whatever trash we put on screen."

The only thing they should be using AI to do with Star Wars now is haul it's dead ass carcass into ocean and give it a Viking Funeral. Ain't nobody paying to see any of that shit anymore, Disney.

Not going to work. Especially not when token DEI "passable white guy" Pedro Pascal is out there screaming anti-Trump and anti-Trump rhetoric in May of 2025.

I had heard that Disney shelved this and wasn't going to release it. What were they thinking releasing this now? This is nothing but hard core brand damage to something that is already on life support at this point.

Even Thunderbolts, which wasn't woke, didn't do race/gender swaps, and people seemed to genuinely like is going to lose Disney/Marvel in the area of $50 to $100 Million, and black girl magic Iron Man knock-off was the thing to release now?

It's hated because nothing is earned. These characters face no diversity and just are magic because they are magic. They're also automatically the best at everything they do because melanin and/or because lack of penis.

That is their entire character arc in every movie. It doesn't matter what paintjob you give it when all you are doing is trotting out the same soulless empty vessel of Liberal Utopia Perfection to come on screen and talk down to the audience.

Think about it Jaynez... Outside of Spider-Man, can you name one superhero movie in the last decade that told the Hero's Journey without skipping all the adversity?

That goes for male characters too. (I genuinely don't know if they write the men just as badly too, because I don't watch any of this shit).

The Hero's Journey the way it was told in No Way Home was a masterclass in how you tell that story in a big-budget super release. Not only did they tell it, but then they finished off the movie by starting to tell it again in a completely different way and just leaving you wanting to see how they're going to tell it the next time. If I wasn't so sure that the next movie is going to be a huge disappointment, I would argue that I'm much more interested in seeing this next Hero's Journey than I was the one I enjoyed so much in No Way Home.

Yeah. It was cool seeing 3 spider-men and all the nostalgia surrounding the whole thing, but I wasn't praising any of that when I spoke about the movie. It was an awesome gimmick, but a gimmick nonetheless and, more importantly a gimmick they're never going to be able to pull off again. At least nowhere near the level of success of NWH.

It was the ending to that movie that got me, and I had nothing but praise for Hollywood sticking the landing like they did and not pussing out last minute with some magical mcguffin that set everything right in the last 5 minutes.

Actions have consequences. Even super-heroes make mistakes.

Peter's aunt is dead. His girlfriend, his best friend and everybody he knew don't have any idea who he is because he never really existed. Though there are other heroes out there still, none of them know who Peter Parker or Spider-Man is. All the tech, and the wealth of Stark Industries that he had access to is gone. He will never even get to meet Tony Stark, and even though he remembers Tony, dead Tony would have no recollection of ever having met Peter.

These are all self-inflicted wounds. Peter is responsible for all of the bad things that happened, not only to himself, but to people he had deep love for. He knows this. He owns this. In a grand gesture of selflessness a
