Daniel:

You don't have to throw it in the scrap heap. I'm sure that people would still like to read it. It's not like this is for money or anything, just to tide us over until Joss gets things back on track.

Just because Gauilo and I are writing a script for episode I that doesn't mean you can't too. I would love to read it, and I'm sure I'm not alone. We were all assigned the episodes we were so that it would break up the work and we wouldn't have too many people on one idea and not enough on another.

Post your script, I definitely would like to read it, as reading fanfic is the only way that I can get my Simon fix, and since you have had more experience than I have, I could definitely learn something from you.

don't be mad?!

WASH: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction.

About those of us who are working on (or fixin' to work on) later eps-- will we get notes on arcs? Or will we wait for the eps to go online or whatever?

Chomping at the bit.

Sad to say Firefly on the usenet is now deceased.

I do not think that Kaylee would give up on Simon, she is one of those women that know what they want and quietly work toward it.

Kaylee comes across as one of those women that men remember fondly if she is there mother, or the mother of a friend. She is not flighty and probably comes across as very forgiving, plus Jayne, Book, Mal and Zoe would stomp anyone in a mudhole that upset her.

I am sorry I can see Kaylee on the farm with a half dozen kids looking positively beatific.

Good luck with the order and I hope my take on Kaylee is on the mark.

Thanks, yeha I decided to finish up the script, but yours will be the actual episode. Thanks for letting write episode 7 which I may start once I am done this one. I think yo might have been implying that may current script becoems episode 7, but most of its aspects are from episode 1, so it just wouldn't work. Oh, and I am glad you like Simon, I do too and I gave him some great stuff in the episode too. I hope you enjoy them. Thanks again.

If she desides she cant love him in an episode such as this we are going to need a River story. Most likely one in which River's condition forces Simon to leave a function he and Kaylee are at. Some sort of date. He's gonna take her out but as River deteriates he has to keep putting it off untill she finally gives up on going out with him

I think that Simon acts the way he does towards Kaylee as a front anyway. He's rude, stand-off-ish and generally pissy when others are around with him and Kaylee because he's afraid they'll get close and his priority is River. It's all defense mechanism, in my interpretation of things anyway.

That's kinda how I'm going to approach things in OIM/OAR anyhow. I'm gonna make Kaylee the aggressor, to a certain extent pin him down to make a decision, and it takes crashing in a shuttle to do it. Simon is too dense and self centered otherwise.

Hey all,

Just dropping by to give you a story idea I came up with a while back while I was staying overnight at a friend's house, trying unsuccessfully to sleep without the aid of the bedtime meds I forgot to pick up before heading over there. Anyhoo, here's the gist of it:

Simon and Kaylee are having a serious "off-again" phase in their relationship when Serenity picks up some passengers. One passenger, whom we'll call Dann, is smitten with Kaylee and starts trying to charm her. His efforts are rewarded with interest on the part of the lovely Miss Frye, making Simon noticeably jealous. Some time later, Dann is injured and rushed to the infirmary, only to die on the operating table. We are left questioning whether Simon did all he could to save his patient's life...

What do you think?

Here lies my darling wife Zoe, my autumn flower.
Not quite so attractive now she's all corpsified and gross.

Actually, it might just be a grand little story as a number 8 and it woul dgive a place to head to between me and LostAngel's two parter where Simon and Kaylee "hook up".

Good one.
