RealClear politics;
Trumps Job Approval Numbers
51.6 disapprove and only 47.1 approve. That's minus 5.5 points.
Reuters; on the economy Trump is 57% disapprove and only 31% approve.
End of January Trump was +50. In two and a half months he dropped to 51.6 disapprove. Do the math. In two weeks, store inventories will be gone. That means empty shelves and higher inflation. Watch what happens to Trumps' numbers then.
I've spent more than a grand stocking up. I've got plenty of food and enough other stuff like shampoos, TP, cat food, to last a year or more. Hell, I may go out again tomorrow and get some more. It isn't like it will go to waste. I'm good at checking expiration dates.
What about you Jack, are you set?

Trump got his ass kicked by not just China, but the world. Holy shit, he's lost across the board and in doing so, fucked America big time.

Yup, went out again for the last time. Spent another $250.00. I've done some very smart shopping so I won't be going to the store except to buy milk for a very long time.
Now the money I don't spend will accumulate. I've lost nothing. And with what's going to happen to inflation along with all the tariff taxes, I am probably saving a ton. The biggest concern I had, again had, was a concern I would need something and there would be none on the shelf. It sucks having to do this but it's smarter than not preparing. Now, let's hope things work out and it doesn't get as bad as we know it's going to get.

Trump Faces Growing Political Pressure as GOP Support Wavers
President Donald Trump is facing mounting political challenges amid signs that Republican support is weakening. A recent poll conducted by RMG Research, a firm founded by conservative pollster Scott Rasmussen, reveals a shift in voter preference toward Democrats — a development that could have major implications for Trump and his party.
Shift Toward Democrats Marks Seven-Point Swing Since February
When including voters who leaned toward either party, Democratic support rose to 50%, while Republican support stood at 45%. This represents a significant seven-point swing toward Democrats since February 2025, when Republicans led 51% to 44% in similar polling.
Political Expert Predicts Democratic Takeover in Midterms
William F. Hall, an adjunct professor of political science and business at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, previously told Newsweek that “it is my opinion, increasingly, in view of the extremely negative ratings experienced by a Republican led Administration, it does appear that, barring some highly unlikely unforeseen circumstances, the midterm elections will bring about a major shift in the makeup of the House of Representatives, with an overwhelming victory for Democratic House candidate
