Anti-Donald Trump podcast knocks Joe Rogan off top spot in charts
Long reigning supreme on the podcast tables, 'The Joe Rogan Experience' has this time round only managed second place, despite still hitting 48.6 million downloads and plays. However, this marked a 32 percent drop since last month, with the 'MeidasTouch' podcast boasting a growth in audience of 101 percent over the same period.
Formed by a trio of brothers, Ben, Brett, and Jordy Meiselas, 'Meidas Touch' clinched the number one slot with an impressive 56 million downloads and plays. Its website describes it as "A pro-democracy news network," which began its journey through creating viral videos and political ads opposing Trump and backing Democratic figures.
The podcast doesn't hold back on its critique of Trump, and in the latest instalment, Ben Meiselas didn't mince his words. "The buck stops with you, whether Trump wants to admit it or not, he needs to take responsibility for everything that is going on and I think it is up to the people to hold him responsible and I know that's what we're gonna do here every single day," he said.
Barron Trump, the president's youngest son, has been a key influencer behind his dad's podcast guest spots, including appearances on 'Adin Ross' and 'Bussin With the Boys.' In an October chat with FOX News' Maria Bartiromo, Trump revealed: "Barron tells me about all the 'hot' guys, people I've never heard of."
Following Trump's declaration of victory in the 2024 U.S. Presidential race, his longtime friend Dana White gave a shout-out to some of the podcast hosts who had welcomed Trump during his campaign trail. "I want to thank the NELK Boys, Adin Ross, Theo Von, Bussin With The Boys, and last but not least, the mighty and powerful Joe Rogan," he expressed, nodding to Rogan's extensive three-hour sit-down with Trump last year.
Posting on X, 'MeidasTouch' couldn't contain its excitement, writing: "The MeidasTouch Podcast is officially the #1 podcast in the U.S. per the newly released Podscribe industry rankings, with 57.7 MILLION downloads and views per month."
Congressman Robert Garcia also took to the social media platform to extend his congratulations, posting: "Congrats to @MeidasTouch. Well done @meiselasb and the whole crew. We need to be everywhere to reach working people and get our message out. Let's keep it up."

Eggs are so expensive, NYC bodegas have started selling loose eggs to customers
Fernando Rodriguez is selling a trio of eggs for $2.99 at his shop off of Boston Road. But an entire carton of eggs, those are still available in the back of the bodega for at least $12.
"If they are spending $12 on one dozen eggs, how are they going to get the other stuff, like bread, milk, butter," Rodriguez said, explaining his store's reaction to rising prices.
