It will still be a failure. I don't believe that it will make the $450 Million worldwide that it needs to break even, let alone whatever they would have agreed upon above and beyond that it needed to make to be acceptably profitable for the investors.
I don't think we'll need to wait to hear the actual budget to see the failure.
I was really hoping for a preview night below The Marvels here though.
I can't figure out why $12 Million worth of people saw it last night. Rotten tomatoes review average is terrible, and I haven't heard anybody say anything better than "meh... It was alright".
I think the 2nd weekend drop is going to be enormous on this, if it hasn't already dropped from what they would expect it to make with a $12 Million Thursday.

According to the Communist Chinese Government, which owns the Communist Chinese Media and the Communist Chinese Hollywood. We couldn't even get our own media to admit that Covid came from a Chinese lab until years after the fact. Good luck finding any real stats that back up these claims from China. For all we know, this movie only grossed $100 Million.
Also, this is a very strong reminder to all the shit outfits in America to stop saying every year that a new movie broke records when inflation is never factored into the equation.
As we discovered last year, not one single movie in modern time could ever become the highest grossing Horror movie when The Exorcist has held that title since 6 years before I was born and nothing has even come close to the $3+ Billion that it grossed when inflation is calculated in.
I'm not going to do the math here, but go ahead and look at the top grossing animated films of all time and feed them all through an inflation calculator and I guaranty you that China doesn't come close to the top of that list.
