Dude. We know that most of Hollywood product is shit and always has been shit.
Nobody here has ever made an argument otherwise.
But the difference now is that they've been actively injecting their ideology that nobody wants to see or pay for into every product while also allowing their average budget to balloon out of control to the point where even small films that shouldn't have to worry about box office revenue become a make or break deal.
Hollywood needs a DOGE.
Maybe they'll make one after the Epstein and P Diddy lists drop.

What hasn't been commercialized out of "Indie" was coopted by the Lunatic Left. How many grants were given to "filmmakers" coming out of lefty colleges have been shut down? I bet that's what they're really bitching about right now. There used to be a big money machine that was shoveling money at them for decades now. The more boxes they checked off, the bigger the boatload of cash.
If you were true Indie, you'd figure it out and you'd raise that money on your own.
Hell... Didn't the couple who made the first Paranormal Activity do that on a budget of only $5,000?
If you are going to make something people want to see, you shouldn't have any problems raising the money to make it. If you're going to make trite bullshit stuffed full with a message nobody wants to hear, good luck to ya.
