There's only so much Ex-Lax and Preparation H you can sell. They are definitely being kept afloat by Daddy Warbucks and company. Soon even they will "give up the ghost" and toss it onto the dung heap.

Sigh. Reminds me of the time Linus ( I think it was him, and Miss Othmar ) realized tha teachers get PAID to come to school. That they don't just show up, out of the goodness of their hearts, to teach.
Everything you see on t.v. or hear via radio ( save for NPR ) is on so it'll get high ratings and so networks can sell ad time.
That's how the free market world works.
Though no fault of our BDH's fault, the show got poor ratings. THAT is why FOX canned it.
So I do get the residual hatred for all things FOX. I really do.
But it's still cute to see how some folks , after all these years, still don't GET it.

While that's true, it's misleading. Alwaleed’s interest in News Corp., the media conglomerate of Rupert Murdoch and once-parent company to Fox News, started in 1997 with a $400 million investment. He owns 7% of Class B voting stock with 21st Century Fox, which is second only to Murdoch's almost 80%, so there's a vast distance between #1 and #2. On the other hand, they are also "in business", insofar as the relationship with Murdoch is reciprocal; News Corp. has a sizable stake in Rotana, a broadcasting company that airs Arabic and English programming in the Middle East. Alwaleed owns an 80 percent stake of Rotana, according to Bloomberg.
Two caveats: 40 percent of Alwaleed’s voting rights are suspended because he is not an American citizen, and "he’s more of a passive major shareholder, said Jay Ritter, University of Florida finance professor, pointing out Alwaleed does not have a seat on the company’s board of directors. None of that translates into how close the two might be, or how much influence Alwaleed has on FauxNews, or Murdoch has in Rotana. Nonetheless, the point is that it's ironically amusing that FauxNews should jump all over Kingdom Foundation when it comes to funding the community center ("mosque") and hint at "terrorist motives", while Alwaleed owns part of FauxNews itself and Murdoch owns some of Alwaleed's enterprise.
