Claire Danes was kind of big for a while. Don't think I ever saw her in anything else other than the awful T3 movie. Omar Epps was Willy Mays Hayes in Major League after they refused to give Wesley Snipes a raise to come back and he was a major role on House. Then there's that other guy who always looks like he's about to say something retarded, but he surprises you when it turns out he's actually a pretty good actor.
Nope... I have no idea why there is any space in my memory that's still reserved for The Mod Squad movie.

The "mature" adults are the old folks paying to see the matinees for the 10 or 15 other movies that are in theaters at any given time that nobody talks about.
I think most adults 30 and above without kids probably don't go to the theaters much, for all the reasons we've discussed before, and the ones with kids don't go to the movies for anything other than taking their kids to see a movie. Kids (under 30) have a much higher tolerance for other people's bullshit and are more willing to spin the wheel and see a movie and hope somebody doesn't fuck up their good time.
I'm sure Hollywood noticed what you did. Expect them to keep churning out a bunch of kid movies until that doesn't work anymore.
As for the movies themselves... Like Spider-Man: No Way Home, D&W was a flukey gimmick they won't be able to replicate. Whatever their plans for Dune are, one part of their plan should be acknowledging that anything after the original book isn't likely to do well in theaters and if they blow the budget on a 3rd Dune movie they're going to regret it. Venom did fine, just like I thought it would, but that's dead now too. SONY needs to refrain from making any more comic book movies that don't star Spider-Man front and center. Comic books will not be making a comeback anytime soon, and any studio trying to push more than 1 next year is going to pay the price for it.
I would also advise STRONGLY against the urge to think that Musicals are the next way to go after the success of Wicked, because that one is going to hilariously backfire if they try it.
Please, Hollywood. Give us Cats 2.

6ixString has a point as back in the day they would make a movie for 75Million to 90 Mil and that spending was considered an expensive Block Buster
Now they easily spend 200 Million to 250 Million on crap
if they Japanese and SKoreans can keep budgets low and still have amazing Fx then why can't Hollyweid...its seems tinsel town is done for now

None of us could remember how the new movie ended, which was particularly hilarious because we’d all just seen the damn thing; this was a few days after it had screened for critics. We were trying to remember it because the finale of the original Gladiator had been so memorable and moving: “He was a soldier of Rome. Honor him.” That line still sends chills up my spine, 24 years later—and yes, I know that’s not the actual ending, because there’s also that wonderful scene with Djimon Hounsou burying the little figurines in the Colosseum: “Now we are free. I will see you again—but not yet. Not yet!” So, Gladiator has two great endings, while the new one’s got zero.
