Additionally, the Department of Health and Human Services must report to Congress about research funded through the initiative.

Check out the date. In April, in the spring, the childs cancer provision was in the Bill.

Yeah. No shit. That's what I've been telling you from the beginning here.

It was passed, in April, by the Republican controlled house. Then the Democrat led senate brought it up twice and declined even to vote on it.

The Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0 was not in this December Bill. The current Bill had the research for children's cancer stripped out.

So the fuck what? The Republicans voted for it in April when it was a standalone bill, and the Democrats let it die. There were a billion pieces of bullshit Democrat pork in the 1500 page omnibus bill in December, and this got stripped out with most of the other stuff.

Put it to a vote again on its own merits. Maybe now that Republicans are running both the house and the Senate it won't die in the Senate because Democrats don't control it anymore.

P.S. When are you ever going to learn, dude? You're going to post an article by Raw Story telling you that Trump might not be inaugurated on the 20th of January? Is that your Christmas present this year?

You'd better grow up and deal with the fact that you lost and that everybody in America hates Democrats.

"Dire shortage": Elon Musk sparks MAGA backlash after calling for more immigrant workers

Musk called a shortage of “excellent engineering talent” a “fundamental limiting factor in Silicon Valley” in a Wednesday tweet, arguing that immigrant labor is an essential ingredient in American innovation and warning of a "dire shortage of extremely talented and motivated engineers in America."

“If you force the world’s best talent to play for the other side, America will LOSE. End of story,” Musk replied to critics.

I will consider the issue of the Children's Cancer Research settled then, and I expect to hear no more out of you about it.

Sounds like common sense to me.

You've got trillions in collective college loan debt, and 40% of people live their entire adult lives working and never use their degree a single time.

Why are we teaching worthless bullshit in college and charging kids so much?

Why don't we have enough engineers from the pool of American Citizens? This was NEVER a problem before.

I'd assume one of the main reasons is that we stopped admitting people based off of merit and skill and started admitting a bunch of stupid people to college based off of the color of their skin and/or their genitals, and then we had to dumb down the entire curriculum so that these stupid people could get passing grades.

SPOILER ALERT: Your gender studies major with a music theory minor isn't going to cure cancer or help design better servers. It doesn't even help you become a better barista at Starbucks, which is what you'll ultimately be doing with that degree unless you're one of the few that luck into an HR position somewhere.

And now, most companies don't even want to hire you out of college anymore because they know what recent college grads are like after they get hired. And even though they can outright fire white male employees at any time for any reason, the only way they can get rid of anyone else without fear of a lawsuit is if they have massive layoffs. Unfortunately for them, 93% of all new-hires in 2021 were women and/or miniorities, so they got stuck with a few million people they can't get rid of unless they have layoffs. But fortunately for those companies, they're all laying off people now and they can remove most of these quotas they regret that they hired in the heat of the George Floyd moment.

We shouldn't need to be importing any engineers. We should have so many of them graduating our colleges that there's a glut and we're exporting our own.

Fix American Colleges.

Fix American Colleges.

Colleges cannot FIX a stupid American, remaking them into an intelligent engineer. Colleges cannot make a stupid American learn even the simplest ideas while at college. All that can be done is for the college professors to flunk the stupid. The smart students will do the work to become competent graduates and the rest won't.

Elon Musk @elonmusk

So basically the right split into two factions, tech right and right right, and the tech right is like "hey we need h-1b visa people to do the jobs," and the right right was like "no you need to hire americans," and the tech right is like "but you guys are retarded," and the right right is like "well you don't train us," and the tech right is like "you can't outtrain being retarded," and while all this was going on we learned some people *really* don't like Indians.

That pretty much sums it up.
This was eye-opening.

Now, it so happens there are a lot of Indian immigrants in the US. They're second only to Mexicans. The thing about Indian immigrants that makes them unique is that pretty much only the smartest ones come here. They're more or less the top 0.1% of the country. They're the ones who scored astronomically on national tests and graduated from the top universities. So it's no surprise they're super successful here. The top 0.1% of any country would be.

False.

The "tech right" was always leftoids like SBF. These were just more people who voted for your guy before but voted for Trump this time. But they're purely in it for Number One, and were just unable to run their usual grift with the Democrats.

Once Sam Bankman-Fried got thrown under the bus and and locked away for 25 years after dumping tens of millions of stolen money into Democrat mid-term campaigns, he embarrassed a LOT of Democrat politicians who should likely be in prison with him and they were scared of taking any more of their money this time. The crypto crew decided to try their luck with Trump instead.

Getting close to any of the cryptobros or talking up cryptocurrency is my largest issue against Trump right now, so as I've stated in here before I hope his plan was to just take their money and pull the rug on them.

Crypto is for Criming
It’s not digital gold — it’s digital Benjamins

The tech bros who helped put Trump back in power expect many favors in return; one of the more interesting is their demand that the government intervene to guarantee crypto players the right to a checking account, stopping the “debanking” they claim has hit many of their friends.

The hypocrisy here is thick enough to cut with a knife. If you go back to the 2008 white paper by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto that gave rise to Bitcoin, its main argument was that we needed to replace checking accounts with blockchain-based payments because you can’t trust banks; crypto promoters also tend to preach libertarianism, touting crypto as a way to escape government tyranny. Now we have crypto boosters demanding that the evil government force the evil banks to let them have conventional checking accounts.

What’s going on here? Elon Musk, Marc Andreesen and others claim that there’s a deep state conspiracy to undermine crypto, because of course they do. But the real reason banks don’t want to be financially connected to crypto is that they believe, with good reason, that to the extent that cryptocurrencies are used for anything besides speculation, much of that activity is criminal — and they don’t want to be accused of acting as accessories.

But let’s back up a bit and talk about fundamentals.

One of the (many) odd things about cryptocurrency is that it has somehow managed to maintain an image as something futuristic when it’s actually ancient in tech years: Bitcoin, the original cryptocurrency, which still accounts for more than half of the total crypto market cap, is 15 years old. Over this entire period, monetary economists and banking veterans have asked, what’s this for? What legitimate use cases are there for cryptocurrency that can’t be served more easily without the blockchain rigamarole?

I’ve been in many meetings where this question has been raised, and have never heard a coherent answer. In fact, crypto has made essentially no inroads on conventional money’s role as a means of payment — which is why crypto guys are so angry about being debanked: you can’t do business without an account at one of those banks Bitcoin was supposed to replace. Even the crypto industry’s own employees won’t accept payment in crypto, which is why the failure of Silicon Valley Bank, where they deposited funds for payroll, was an existential crisis demanding, yes, a government bailout.

Yet Bitcoin has hit $100,000 and cryptocurrency assets have a combined value of $4 trillion. What’s going on?

Ugggghhhhh..... Of course this is why leftwing people are against it.

The real problem with crypto is AFTER our government embraces it and phases out cash. One day they'll have complete control over digital currency and every transaction down to the penny will be tracable for everyone. But that's only the beginning of the problems we're all in for once we have no other option but to pay for goods and services with a programmable currency.

Just wait until they program in cash with monthly expiration dates and you are never able to save for the future again because if you don't spend it by the 1st, you've lost all that money and you can't carry it over to the next month. Now you've officially got a built-in slave base of consumers that will never be able to better their position in life and are completely dependent on the crumbs they're fed with no ability to ever plan for the future.

I know that it's not exactly the easiest thing to do right now, but at least it's doable. I know this from experience. And I also know that if I could do it, there's a hell of a lot of other people who can and did. But when somebody else is in complete control of the digital money in your a wallet 24/7, you will never even have the possibility of a life of autonomy again. That option simply won't exist anymore.

"Oh... You said something online that we don't approve of? Your monthly digital rations will be docked 30% for the next 3 months. We are sure you won't make this mistake again, will you?"

Right now, our governments are VERY well aware that they can "guide" most people into or out of certain behaviors through heavily taxing what they feel is bad behavior, without outright banning said behavior. But they know it may as well be a ban because only the rich people could afford to keep engaging in that taxable behavior. And on the flip side they can heavily incentivize other behavior they deem desirable through tax breaks, rebates and credits.

Right now, this is all done on a macro, economy-wide scale. And the illusion of freedom still remains for most of us. If you still want to do something they frown upon that hasn't been deemed illegal, it probably IS still possible for you if you make sacrifices somewhere else to afford the artificial bloated costs from the heavy taxes.

CBDCs change everything.

CBDCs will be when they can manipulate EVERY person's behavior on a case-by-case basis by withholding part of your weekly allowance for bad behavior, or even rewarding you with a bump in your weekly allowance for doing something they approve of and earning a gold star.

All of this determined by A.I., of course, which hopefully is much better at the job than the Google comment bots are currently. At some point, I'm sure we can tie in the insurance gizmo on your car that monitors your driving behavior. Why not your entire medical history? "Oh... I see you've been using a fitness tracking app for the last 3 years on your iPhone watch? That's great. I won't have to explain to you how to use the new Government Mandated 37-in-1 medical tracking braclet which will monitor your vitals 24/7. Yes. It's for your own well being in case of an emergency. You won't even need to call 911 because it was already called for you. We will also know if your diet is Government Approved based off of these readings, and if they are not you will be docked 20% of your weekly allowance until the figures show us that you have corrected
