Favourite STUNT in Firefly?

Hello again.

Watching Firefly again :)

Er just wondering what your favourite stunt was in Firefly?

There are some impressive action sequences throughout, but the one that makes me whince everytime is the Stuntman who takes a bullet in the knee caps from Book, during the gun fight in WAR STORIES; and it sends him falling head first onto a platform type thing, which he then proceeds to bounce off (using his head!) to the ground! Incredible!! Looks like he is really feeling that one! Anyone know who did that? That guy is amazing!

Anyway I'd love to hear what Stunts you all thought worked or didn't work on the show.

(I love stunt work - I think it's residual fascination from when I was a kid and my friends and I started a stunt club in school :)

Poor lady was getting all mauled and bruised by Inara and pretended it didn't hurt a bit. Now *that's* acting.

Gotta love the stunts the actors do themselves without doubles.

Morena's catch of the rapier Mal tosses her in Shindig was pretty nice, although I wished they had shown the flourish she said she had been practicing in the commentary.

Jayne, your mouth is talkin. Might want to look into that.

I agree with you, Luke -- that one has Max "whince" Factor. But I enjoy a couple of gags in the bar fight intro for Shindig:
Jayne swings a pool cue, & knocks a guy for a full-layout back flip.
The classic, guy sails over the bar & smashes the mirror behind it.

this really isn't a STUNT in the strictest sense of the term, but i really love it when the guy flies through the "window", then the window flickers and comes back.

One thing that's always bothered me is Nathan Fillon on a horse. His shoulders are all slumped and his elbows are flying around like a chickens wings and...ughh, just makes me cringe every time.

That's the one I was going to mention. There are a lot of spectacular stunts in the show tho.

One on the reasons I like Firefly is the lame fights - nostalgia for the TV-Westerns of the Sixties. What impresses me most is, out of a generally unathletic cast, how fast Morena can move in inappropriately tight clothes.
