He shoots the guy on tv, and a fanbase of Clowns are out in full force, rioting, destroying property, burning cars, and killing people, as Arthur smiles, and is cheered and pointed at by the rioters.
Joker 2 is the Ass Raped plot and dumped by Lady Gaga and a bad musical on top of all that nonsense

I disagree that it was crap.
I don't think I disagree with the cultural sewage assessment though.
To this day, I still don't know if I can say I "liked" the movie. I have no intention of ever watching it again, not even to evaluate it.
I'm not a gore/horror guy at all. It had more gore content than I usually would ever find acceptable, but given the subject matter it could have been much, much darker and I feel that the proper amount of restraint was used. I believe it was Auraptor who convinced me that the level of gore in the movie wasn't going to be disagreeable with me, and fortunately he was correct.
But the whole movie is Joaquin Phoenix. Without him, there was no Joker movie. Or at least no Joker movie that anybody cared about or had a shitty sequel made. I called the movie an "experience" when I saw it back in 2019. I also said it was exhausting. Though memories of the details of the movie and the plot have faded, those feelings still remain 5 years later.
It was a trip I'm glad that I made, but I have no interest in ever making again.
As for it being cultural sewage... Yeah. But is it creating problems or is it just holding a mirror up to society?
The strangest thing about Joker was the general reaction to it.
The initial critical appeal was insane. It won a lot of indie awards before the US Media got to it and started ripping it to shreds. Once our media got to it they said that it catered to "incel" mentality and it was grooming young men to become Alt-Right Nazis or some nonsense. They were absolutely sure that at least one theater was going to be shot up. And that never happened.
The fact that our media didn't absolutely fall in love with this movie is just baffling. It was every white college "educated" activist's wet dream. That's who Arthur was. We saw it every day during the Summer of Love after drug addict and street abortionist George Floyd overdosed on meth. And from time to time since then we've seen similar Fatherless Jokers in the streets and on college campuses.
So somehow Todd got it in his head that all those dirty, no-good white males that work for a living and didn't go to college found Arthur to be a hero instead of the white college "educated" activists he was intending to idolize. He was just so mad that nobody understood his masterpiece that he conned the studio to give him $200 Million so he could pay himself 10% of that and give Arthur the most expensive funeral in history.
R.I.P. Artie. We hardly knew ye.

I can't wait to see Kraven crash and burn.
It probably makes some money just because there isn't anything better to watch though. It's not going to be like when The Marvels and Wish wrapped up Disney's year of abject failure with two of their biggest bombs, just because I don't see anything that looks like a Wonka or even to a lesser degree an Aquaman 2 that will draw people's attention away from it.
Although, I didn't think Wonka was going to be a success and I was very wrong about that, to maybe Kraven will have enough competition for us to get a really good laugh out of it.
That would be nice. It's been a really boring year in Hollywood overall. I found much less enjoyment tracking it this year compared to last year.
