but the Russians also had tech after WW2, in 1949 they test a Nuke, they also have a Nuclear Weapon and cheated by putting this out there with rocketry faster, into space, a dog went to space and putting possible missile technology on top of a rocket.

Watching war play out in Ukraine and Israel, I think war is evolving to missile and drone war. Also, I think its easier to play offense than defense, bc no matter how good your defense it can always be overwhelmed by decoys and drones. And only a few need to get thru to do damage.
This applies to nuclear tipped missiles of ANY range: There is no defense. The only defense is deterrence, and treaties.
