There was one ep that annoyed the shitoutof me it went political and for no reason the inject this Anupam Tripathi guy as Ali Abdul into the show a poor poor islam poor greatest religion of peace worker from Pakistan while the rest of the South Koreans are shown as greedy sicko immoral degenerates, Tripathi is not Pakistani but he seems to be Hindu Indian and was cast because is fluent in English, Hindi, and Korean...it could have been a great show but for me it had silly global homo moments.

like a cross breed between the Japan Takeshi's Castle gameshow, The Purge a dystopian America, Battle Royale, Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Tell Me What You Saw, Kaiji a Japan anime toon Ultimate Survivor or High Rise Invasion, Guns Akimbo, Black Mirror Twilight Zone stuff, American Ninja Warrior real life tv, a surreal political comment comedy 'The Hunt' or random Asian variety survivor challenge shows and a drama real life commentary on gamblers and the South Korean rat race

I don't really know it but it seems to have a little of that Starship Troopers, Star Trek, Warhammer, Fallout, StarWars, Halo vibe, a video game trailer has world where humanity and several aliens have colonized the galaxy using technology left behind by ancient advanced precursor civilizations, a thing not magic but a "mass relay" enables faster-than-light travel, its a shooter with role-playing elements.

Eh... By 2007 the big studios were doing pretty good with voice acting.
I remember getting pissed off and airing it in here about Hollywood actors getting all of the best acting gigs for video games and pushing out regular voice actors, but in retrospect it's kind of hard to argue those results.
Mass Effect had Keith David, Seth Green, Lance Henrickson, Jennifer Hale and around 6 dozen other names I don't recognize.
Right around that same time Michael Ironside was voicing Snake in the Metal Gear games, and Malcolm McDowell was the "President" on Fallout 3.
It sure beat most of what we got in the PS2/XBox generation and smoked any voice acting from the PS1/N64 generation.

I have no stake in Mass Effect. My brother was a huge fan though. He'd be bummed if Amazon screws it up.
They did Fallout right so far though. There's still some hope.
If memory serves though, the makers of Mass Effect screwed up their own property with Mass Effect 3 and how they wrapped it up. During the first 2 games every choice you made counted and caused ripple effects throughout the universe, which all carried over from game to game with your save data and would alter where you started the next game from where they would start you if you skipped the prior game(s) and started with 2 or 3.
If I remember right, the problem was that almost none of it mattered or effected the ending of the series like it should have. There were a whole lot of promises being made about how many possible different endings that were available to you, but after 3 games they didn't deliver on any of it. I think there was something like 3 different endings, instead of the near limitless endings they were leading people to believe would be possible.
