Trump's lead has now grown to more than 5.2 Million votes. It won't get higher than this. There isn't anywhere for him to get any votes to keep up with the blue states at this hour outside of what's left to count in the close-ish swing states that he's going to win.
Amazing how Republican states have zero problems counting their ballots in a reasonable time frame. Funny that, huh?
95% of Virginia, New Mexico and Minnesota, 93% of New Jersey, 92% of Illinois, 90% of Massachusetts, 89% of New York, 75% of Colorado, 67% of Oregon, 64% of Washington and 50% of California has already been counted.
Trump is getting more than 1 vote for every 2 votes that Harris is getting in California so far.
This thing really might end up being a 2+ or even 3+ Million win for Trump in the popular vote.

Trump will be fine.

68% of Alaska counted and Trump is still up 14%. NYT still won't call the race for Trump.
NYT has Trump at 267. CNN and MSNBC still show only 266.
AP News only gave Pennsylvania to Trump 14 minutes before this message was typed up, later than anybody else. They do, however, have Trump at 267 like the New York Times.

Do I know my numbers or what?
5.2 Million votes was Trump's high-water mark. He just now dipped below 5.1 Million.
It's all downhill for Trump on the Popular Vote from here, but not below a Million.

Why do you suppose that MSNBC and CNN won't call Maine's 2nd District for Trump even though the AP already did and the NYT did HOURS ago?
You think they're lying to their viewers about it to milk as much ad revenue as they can before they have to admit he won any of the other states that might get called before Alaska finishes up?

Wow. Michigan just got a huge pallet drop for Harris.
Just a minute after I made that last post, Michigan now has 94% of the vote counted and Trump drops from +4 to only +1.9.
Nice ballot box harvest count for Harris in the 11th hour there.

Man... Most of the rest of these Senate toss-ups are freakin' tight.
House is at 201 Republicans and 176 Democrats. Republicans flipped 5 and Democrats have flipped 2.
Trump's back up to +2 in Michigan with 95% counted.
Honestly, I don't know what that means now. NYT isn't claiming that any state or county has counted more than 95%.
Popular vote now at 70,591,885 for Trump and 65,643,227 for Harris.
Harris' lead in California is down to 18% with 52% counted.

Trump will be fine.

This is an even more decisive turning point than 2016.

When Donald Trump won the presidency in 2016, America still had a sliver of plausible deniability. Yes, he had a history of shady business dealings, racist proclamations, and alleged sexual harassment. But maybe he didn’t really mean it. Maybe it was all just locker-room talk. Maybe he’d rise to the demands of the office. Maybe he’d be more like a regular Republican, just a lot rougher around the edges.
This time around, there were no excuses. . . .
There was no denying exactly what another Trump term meant for us. Project 2025 presented an alarmingly lucid roadmap for his aims of authoritarianism. News reports of women maimed and killed by abortion bans filled the airwaves. Countless former Trump administration officials risked their necks to say, in no uncertain terms, that this guy was even worse close up than he seemed from afar. And, not for nothing, but voters watched Trump grow increasingly drawn, incoherent, and bizarre on the campaign trail, raising questions about his baseline ability to perform any job, then made him president anyway.
