I would assume any reasonable person in America would call it Franklinhenge. Because Ben Franklin came up with the grid street system for cities in the United States. So District of Columbia should have then same alignment.
Pyramids, Rapanui, and other Astro-display sites predate U.S.
Only ignorant children would really call it Chicagohenge - Native American tribes had no such understanding of astronomy. The recent discovery of Native American DNA in the Rapanui populace prior to 1722 indicates they traveled to Americas, not the reverse. So the Rapanui utilized the astronomic understanding they already had (to navigate the oceans), instead of Native Americans suddenly sprouting knowledge they never had or retained.
Altho, the pyramids of Mexico and South America might muddy that conclusion.

its a pity what modern politicians have done to Chicago

very common for old ancient towns, sites and temples and cities to be mapped to the stars or the Sun, the Egyptian Pyramids, Stonehenge ancient England, Rome monuments Solarium Augusti, Machu Picchu Peru, the monuments and symbols of Antequera Spain, Chaco Canyon New Mexico, USA, Teotihuacan's 'Pyramid of the Moon' ancient Greek and Chinese sites, Angkor Wat temple Cambodia, the megalithic temples of Malta.

In star trek, we had evolved into beings that worked on bettering themselves. We had lost all concern about being affluent. I see those pictures and am filled with awed admiration. I am also disappointed our stay on Planet Earth is such a short one. There is so much out there to admire and wonder about.
