Some Fake News outlets have hammered on the partial portion of the ruling. This is simply because in order to defend the obvious Immunity against the obvious Abuse of DoJ, they needed to not curtail the scope of future presidents, and made expansive opportunities for SCOTUS to support - and so this gave the Court ample room to give table scraps to the Abusive Ministry Of Truth.
Regarding the other charges thrown out, I have not heard if there has been a mass exodus from jails and prisons of those falsely charged (and convicted).
Seems like this gives past Presidents of BOTH parties license to do all sorts of criminal mischief.
That's a mighty big stick to give to either party.
Can't imagine that's what SCOTUS intended, so maybe some examples might help.
Though I'll be the first person to celebrate another Trump win, I wonder if this will be an unfortunate power grab that could be misused by anybody in the future.
If so, anybody crying about it today would be cheering it on when people they vote for use it, and vice versa, until there's really nothing left to fight about.
I'd like to know more about the specifics of this one and ponder over how it might be used and misused in the future.
Now, I think I understand that Sigs and 6ix have been devout listeners to the Libtard Propaganda broadcasts of M$M.
I can try to parse through what the confusion is, but please let me know if I skip something, because I'm not really on your frequency here.
Most United States Citizens with brain cells has known that there has been Presidential Immunity present and inherent in the Constitution since it was assembled.
Only Libtards, such as Merritless Garland, have not known.
SCOTUS affirmed this common sense knowledge.
However, since Libtards and Garland (at the direction of Lord Darth Obiden's Lawfare orchestration) have challenged common sense, the Defense (in this case, for Trump) needed to be careful to not restrict the immunity of future Presidents by merely failing to include arguments in their brief. By definition, these would include situations far outside the commonly understood Immunity.
Some of these situtations SCOTUS did not recognize as valid.
The Libtard propaganda machine has been rife with unfettered delusions of what common sense and logical decisions could lead to.

Landmark Legal Foundation (Mark Levin) provided the Amicus Brief to SCOTUS, detailing all the ways Jack Smith's appointment and persecution were both Unconstitutional.
In a diverging opinion, Justice Thomas openly questioned the Unconstitutionality of both the appointment and the persecution.
Once this opinion was published, the Judge was obligated to review the case before her, and throw it out.
