Wall Street Journal: The Almighty Calls for Biden
The Democratic Party establishment that covered for the President’s decline now wants him gone.

Quote:
Mr. Biden may continue to resist, as he did on Friday night with Mr. Stephanopoulos. But the longer he does, the more brutal the establishment campaign will become. The President’s every word will be scrutinized for mistakes, his every step examined for signs of Parkinson’s or some other malady. The questions will be who knew what about his decline, and when?
CNN’s chief medical correspondent, Sanjay Gupta, now wants Mr. Biden to take a cognitive test. Mr. Biden said Friday that his daily work is a cognitive test, which is the problem. Here’s how the President answered Mr. Stephanopoulos’s question Friday on his debate performance:
“Yeah, look. The whole way I prepared, nobody’s fault, mine. Nobody’s fault but mine. I, uh—I prepared what I usually would do sittin’ down as I did come back with foreign leaders or National Security Council for explicit detail. And I realized—’bout partway through that, you know, all—I get quoted the New York Times had me down, at 10 points before the debate, nine now, or whatever the hell it is. The fact of the matter is that, what I looked at is that he also lied 28 times. I couldn’t—I mean, the way the debate ran, not—my fault, no one else’s fault, no one else’s fault.”
It’s admirable that he didn’t blame his advisers, but Mr. Biden has a hard time finishing a sentence, much less completing an argument. When he loses his train of thought he deflects with the word “anyway.”

This is the type of reporting that should be happening ALL THE TIME.
ABC NEWS: 2nd local radio host says they were given questions ahead of Biden interview
"Yes, I was given some questions for Biden," Earl Ingram told ABC News.

No fucking shit.
This is the type of stuff we've been saying has been going on the last 3.5 years.
But we get called Conspiracy Theorists, or Trumptards, or Nazis, or whatever "Progressive" word of the day you've got going on to explain away stuff that goes against your narrative. And meanwhile, you just flat out lie about reality to all those people who faithfully vote whatever way you tell them to vote. You've lied about the status of Joe Biden*'s faculties from the start.
The real question that anybody above 100 IQ is asking right now is, why are you being "honest" about this issue now?
It doesn't mean anything coming from you this late.
The only reason Earl Ingram is saying it to ABC now is because he's being allowed to say it now. And the only reason ABC is reporting on it now is because ABC is being allowed to report on it now.
Obviously, your strings are being pulled to have an entirely different take on the mental health of Joe Biden* in July of 2024 than you've had ever since it was clear that Joe Biden* was going to come out on top in the 2020 Democratic Debates all the way up until his June debate with Trump.
What are you all up to now? Do you even know?
What's the new narrative going to be? Do you even know?
Do you even help with spinning the new stories that all the news outlets are going to regurgitate ad nauseam until people repeat it enough that it's their truth?
... or is all the "truth" you tell us to believe dictated by the "higher ups"?

Depending on the age of the people working at places like ABC, CNN, FOX and the like, I bet the older ones have some pretty great stories to tell about how there once was a day where they had freedom to speak the truth on air but eventually that was lost because of litigation and mergers and the heavily built-in advertising model they would all die without.
Maybe they're not such great stories though. They probably went pretty similar to the buyouts and mergers and layoffs that took place at any company from any industry and lead us to the world we live in today.
I'd love to hear about how different things used to be compared to today. I'll bet there were some great stories about people being "separated" from the company or just plain quitting when they realized they were being forced to lie and refused to do it.
Anybody that's still doing it now was either all on board with lying for a paycheck back in the early days or got hired in after that became an unwritten prerequisite in the industry.

Boy... David Axelrod sure sounds a hell of a lot different this morning than he did while sitting with the panel at CNN after the debate...
30 minutes after Debate:

e_nominee_of_the_democratic_party_this_isnt_the_60s.html
Quote:
DAVID AXELROD: It was actually Donald Trump that helped make Joe Biden the nominee because there was a feeling that if there were a primary, that that would weaken -- that Biden would probably win, but it would weaken him in a general election. And so there are people who could have run and didn't run because the history of that is bad.
The point is now he is the nominee of the Democratic Party. This isn't the 60s, okay. Voters choose the nominee. He is the nominee only he can decide whether he's going to continue, and as you point out, this is a guy with a lot of pride who believes in himself. The idea that he's going to say, "You know, I had a bad debate, I think I'm going to walk away from this." I find it hard to believe.
David Axelrod today:
*(See next post for link since it screws up the post formatting here).
Quote:
DAVID AXELROD: He should not view it as being pushed out of politics. I really have a very high regard for Joe Biden. I served with him in the White House. I thought he was a great vice president. I was glad every day that he was there. He was an important voice in the Obama administration. I think he's done some historically important things, and history will be much kinder to him than voters are being right now.
But the question is, what will his reputation be like? What will his legacy be if he persists in this race, and loses and loses badly, which is really possible at this point., We elect presidents by the electoral college. I know there are some polls that speak otherwise, but I've looked at a ton of data and no one in those states who is knowledgeable would say he's ahead in any of the battleground states. But now we have states like Virginia, Minnesota, and Maine, the governors of New Mexico, and Maine reportedly told them in that meeting last week that they're not sure he can carry their states, which were presumed to be in his column. So he could lose and take the House and the Senate with him. That it's not the legacy that he wants.
He has a great, great record and a great history. So I think if that's what he's thinking, he's looking at this the wrong way. The only thing that's pushing them out of politics is the immutable march of time.
Now, now... David. Let's not be melodramatic.
Trump was already showing strength in all of those states before the debate. I had pointed every one of them out here before the debate. In fact, everything you just said is what I've been saying for months. It was always the case. Most outfits have just chosen not to report on it until just right now though.
But thank you for telling your idiot audience the truth about it now that you've jumped on board with pushing Biden* out.

It appears for now that they're starting to circle the wagons around Biden* after they were all calling for his head out of panic after the debate.
Don't any of you dummies forget this all happened. You voted for a meat popsicle puppet, and some of you idiots are fully committed to doing it again.

Stephen Colbert Calls On Biden To Drop Out: "Put The Needs Of The Country Ahead Of The Needs Of His Ego"

ls_on_biden_to_drop_out_put_the_needs_of_the_country_ahead_of_the_needs_of_his_ego.html
Quote:
COLBERT: So, should he stay? Should he go? Who am I to recommend? I don’t know what’s going on in Joe Biden’s mind. Something I apparently have in common with Joe Biden. The debate was 11 days ago nd everybody is still talking about it. It’s a shame because Joe Biden is a great president...
I don’t know what’s the right thing to do here... And I think that this is actually a battle of two virtues. One of them is perseverance. Biden is famous for that... The competing virtue here is self-sacrifice. Self-sacrifice takes a particular kind of courage, and that is a courage I believe Joe Biden is capable of. I believe he’s a good enough man. He is a good enough president to put the needs of the country ahead of the needs of his ego, and however painful that might be, it is possible handing leadership to a younger generation is the right thing for the greater goodest. Or good as. Either one.
Oh. So according to Stephen Colbert it's now perfectly fine to make fun of Biden*'s mental health.
Shut the fuck up, Steve.

Joe Biden* challenges Trump to Golf 3 times this year, but when Trump challenges Biden and gives him 20 strokes, his aides on Twitter call it "antics" and that Joe* is far too busy for that.
Busy doing what? Exactly.
Let 'em play golf.

Jon Favreau: Every Person At The Hollywood Fundraiser "Thought The Same Thing" Except For The Biden People

DANA BASH, CNN: That's exactly what I was going to ask Jon about because Jon, you were at that fundraiser as well. I don't know if you spend as much time with President Biden as George Clooney did since he was one of the hosts. But that I'm totally with you, David. That quote was like, wow.
JON FAVREAU, FORMER OBAMA ADVISOR: I mean, it was not surprising to any of us who were at the fundraiser. I was there. Clooney was exactly right. And every single person I talked to at the fundraiser thought the same thing, except for the people working for Joe Biden, or at least they didn't say that.
But I remember my wife, Emily, turned to me after the fundraiser and said, what are we going to do? I mean, and I said, well, there's a debate in a week. Either he'll do well in the debate and we'll think, well, he was just tired because he flew all the way back from Europe and that'll be that or he'll be like this at the debate and then the whole country will be talking about it. So here we are.
The answer to your wife Emily's question at the fundraiser is that you should both vote Trump.
