The thing that Hollywood did to Terminator, that is to say, keep making more and more Terminator until Hollywood goes bankrupt because audiences do NOT want more? Hollywood did the same absurd thing to Indiana Jones:

It's the only one I saw in the theater, so it's special just for that reason. I saw Temple of Doom first, on a tiny TV at my Grandma's house when my dad rented it. Doesn't matter that it was on a tiny TV. It was awesome.

I know the majority of it was written by fans and that is why George approved all the books that were written. I've got a good number of them and they are great.

I never read any of them, but my brother was an avid collector and read tons of them. He's the only reason I knew about how many other people were contributing to it and that if a book was officially published than it was because George Lucas approved of it. I think that's really cool. How many other things can you think of that had something like that surrounding them in an official capacity.

Shame that it was just tossed away by rich people who didn't care about or respect it.

I saw the first Terminator movie on VHS and it was good and I know I saw the second one too.

I haven't seen either of them in 20 years, but saw them a ton when I was a kid. Especially Judgement Day.

No the all female Ghostbusters wasn't that bad but it didn't really do anything for the franchise is all.

Ha, ha.

I don't think the new ones did much I'd care for either. I don't imagine I'll ever get around to watching any of them.

Same here on "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". The only reason we hit on that one in the theater is my friend wanted to see a movie and that was the only decent thing playing at the time. I saw the other two on VHS.

Well, the early Star Trek books were fan written, those based on the original show and maybe some of the later ones too. I have quite a few Star Wars books and read them too, so I did enjoy them.

It is a shame.

Been a long time since I've seen the first Terminator movie for sure. I'd probably have to look for it on YouTube now as I don't think my local library has a copy of it anymore.

I haven't made up my mind about seeing this latest Ghostbusters film. "Frozen Empire".

Did you see Ghostbusters: Afterlife?

That one came out in between 2016 and Frozen Empire. Just mentioning it because from what I gather you'd probably be missing quite a bit if you didn't watch Afterlife first.

No, I haven't seen Ghostbuster: Afterlife. I was thinking about it but still haven't really decided.

It survives in our hearts and memories.

Remember when that was good enough?

Oh... By the way...

Did you see in the 2023 thread that I just found out yesterday that the budget for Indy 5 is now listed as $402.5 Million on The-Numbers.com.

I can't imagine there is any chance that isn't now the highest movie budget of all time. Indy 5 alone lost Disney $611 Million last year.

And now Ford has brought his bad luck to 'Captain America 4', that flick is also way over budget AND, they don't know when it'll hit theaters because of many reshoots. Disney 'Star Wars', 'Indy 5' and now 'Captain America 4', that old fart is nothing but a bad luck charm.

I didn't even know he was in The Falcon movie. No kidding?

Don't call it Captain America. It's not Captain America.

Just like the Spiderverse movies are the Miles Morales movies, since Miles Morales is not Spider-Man.
