I live in one of those states, Texas, where the GDP is mostly squandered on doodads and thingamajigs, the foolishness and stuff that Russia can scoff at as irrelevant to winning a war. In stark contrast, Russia is spending its much smaller GDP for stuff to carve Ukraine into little pieces. Russia won't stop until some larger economy re-orientates its industry to give Ukraine much more stuff to carve Russia into little pieces. Russia is methodically destroying Ukraine's power plants but Ukraine cannot destroy Russia's because no country with a large GDP is providing the hardware similar to Russia's to do to them what they are doing to Ukraine.

After WW2 America rebuilt all of Europe. I'm sure we can help rebuild Ukraine.

The United States transferred $13.3 billion (equivalent to $173 billion in 2023) in economic recovery programs to Western European economies after the end of World War II.
The postwar reconstruction of Ukraine will cost about 500-600 billion euros ($525 billion-$630 billion), World Bank Vice President Anna Bjerde said. The cost goes up $billions every week the war continues.
