BEFORE ISRAEL, Jews and Palestinians and other other Arabs and Muslims lived as neighbors in the Mideast. Then "Israel" came along ... another thing entirely .... which not only thought of themselves as a religion and a tribe but ALSO as a NATION ... Seriously? Except for the Temple Mount / Dome of the Rock, which has religious significance to both religions, I'm inclined to think that "the west" should give the most fertile lands of similar climate that it controls... maybe the south 0f France ... and give it to the Palestinians, and let God's Chosen People... deal with the barren desert.
