By December 2023, Gunn revealed he worked on the film as a consultant, reviewing shot material and giving his notes regarding it. The film reportedly has a budget of $200 million, a large increase from Joker's budget of $60 million.

$200 Million is beyond stupid.
I've got just about zero interest in watching this flick, mostly because of the fact that Lady GaGa is actually going to be in it and that wasn't just some dumb internet rumor and I've heard it's going to be a musical?
If it's a musical, it's DOA and it isn't going to make the $500 Million it needs to break even. Not a chance.
This was a movie that didn't even need a continuation in the first place, so unless they've got some amazing story to tell, nearly quadrupling the budget was a terrible mistake.

The problem is you can only steal from the pot so much until there's nothing left to steal.
Warner Bros. isn't mortally wounded yet, but it already is bleeding pretty heavily, and they're not going to have a Barbie in 2024 to save their asses again.
Everything about this movie so far points to it being a loser.
