Some news on the U.S. airings of the new Dr. Who:
Rumors have circulated today based on posts on the Restoration Team forum concerning a possible deal with NBC/Universal, who own the Sci-Fi Channel and USA Network, for broadcast of the new series, potentially with the Sci-Fi Channel as first broadcaster and USA as syndicators, which would include the entire back catalog of Doctor Who serials. While there is no official word confirming this, it's the first indication in some time of a possible deal for US broadcast of the new show. Stay tuned!

It's just about to officially confirmed that the new series will launch Saturday March 26th, at around 7 pm. Expect it to be online at about 8.30 pm and on the SciFi channel in a few months time.

I guess it's to be expected it would get a cable run over her ein the US but I guess I kinda hoped for a different network than SciFi. USa seemed ultimately like the best fit in an odd way, I knew overall the networks were a bad way to go.
And BBC America''s exposure is too small compared to even SciFi and USA. So I guess its to be expected.
Online at 8:30? officially or through the bootleg channels?

Bootleg. The BBC is actually going to put some/most/all of its archive online eventually. But only for us licence fee payers - apologies to the rest of you.

You shall have to tell me the best place to find such a download- would love to see these. Although I'm going to have to scour some of my UK contacts to tape the show for me eventually too.....
Seems there's going to be at least a couple of months delay from the UK to US screening which is a bummer....
