Because this is the Cinema board. Not the Coffee board.

Plus I find endless amusement watching the resident fff.net Communist go to bat for Disney everyday.

I'll take your complete deflection of the topic THAT YOU BROUGHT UP as another concession that you've just gotten your ass whooped by me again. It happens nearly every day in the RWED, and you chose to bring it in here.

Go play with Ted. He's the only person left here that's stupider than you are.

6ix, you and all the other Trumptards I know are surely screwed up in the head about Hollywood. You went on and on supporting that crap movie about child sex slavery "Sound of Freedom" as a harbinger of Trump's triumphant return.

And the Trumptards act as if Hollywood losing money is a sure portent of Trump's eventual victory. It is a sign that Hollywood, a minor business compared to selling hot coffee, sells crap. Hollywood has always sold worthless crap to morons and its managers have always been bad at managing. That is why many movie studios have gone out of business in the past and more will in the future. That's even why Joss Whedon of Firefly fame is on hiatus. He was a terrible manager around employees. That is why Harvey Weinstein is in prison. He and his goddamn brother won't be making more crap movies.

Quentin Tarantino knows it is time for Hollywood to go out of business:

Tarantino has stated that he plans to make a total of just ten films before retiring as a director, as a means of ensuring an overall high quality (who is he kidding about quality? His movies are crap, although better than the competition.) within his filmography. He believes "most directors have horrible last movies," that ending on a "decent movie is rare," and that ending on a "good movie is kind of phenomenal."

You're projecting. I don't think about Trump every day. You do. If I weren't in the RWED, and didn't see you and Ted posting about him half a dozen times everyday, I could go weeks without having a single thought about Trump.

I've never seen Sound of Freedom. Angel Studios has never made a dime off of me, either in supportive contributions, ticket sales or even online purchases.

I've never once said that the success of Sound of Freedom had anything to do with Trump's successes or failures. You must have read some Lefty shit site articles saying that this was the case and mistakenly attributed that to me.

Once again. Nothing to do with Trump. Trump isn't the vaccine. Trump support is a symptom of the people rejecting the DEI agenda that has poisoned everything from comic books to movies to schools to news agencies to business. If Democrats hadn't done what they did and continued doubling down on it every year, Trump wouldn't have ever become President and he wouldn't even be in the race right now.

There may not be any need for him in a few years. The free money has finally run out and all of these people are being fired. Many of the corporations who have been pushing this crap have had massive layoffs or even shuttered their doors completely.

And more importantly, outside of Hollywood, globalism seems to be dying. The WEF is a fuckin' joke in 2024. Even Joe Biden* is pissing off the Twitter leftwing nutjobs by talking about securing the border again.

Hollywood just happens to be a great barometer of which way the winds are blowing here.

In 2023, companies like Universal gave the audiences what they wanted and profited greatly from it, and companies like Disney did not. We will see what lessons were learned in 2024.

Sure. Hollywood always made worthless crap. Hollywood has also made a lot of great stuff too. Businesses in every sector go out of business every year. This is not specific to Hollywood, nor has it ever been.

For over a decade now though, they have felt like they were invincible. Invulnerable to criticism of their cynical pandering, with the full force of the media behind them. And it didn't matter how much money they were losing because there was always more.

And the irony is that it was Joe Biden* and the Democrats we have to thank for that.

Look at what Universal makes, sorted in order of how much money, adjusted for inflation:

1 Jurassic World
2 The Super Mario Bros. Movie
3 The Lost World: Jurassic Park
4 How the Grinch Stole Christmas
5 Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
6 Despicable Me 2
7 Meet the Fockers
8 The Secret Life of Pets
9 Furious 7
10 Bruce Almighty
11 Minions
12 Apollo 13
13 Liar Liar
14 Jurassic World: Dominion
15 The Mummy Returns

Except for Apollo 13, #12 on the list, it is all a bunch of meaningless crap. If Hollywood never made another movie, we'd be better for its death. What about Hollywood's employees? They can sell coffee, another worthless industry providing a similar addiction that we'd be better off if it had never been discovered by drugged goats in Ethiopia, around 800 AD.

One man's crap is another man's treasure. People like to be entertained and not preached to when paying to see a movie.

Yeah dude. We know this is your line now.

Just burn everything down because it's not doing what you want it to do. "Oh yeah. Fuck movies. Fuck Hollywood. I never cared about them anyway."

But we have your post history here. When I was talking about Disney putting out woke trash Lightyear a few years back and correctly predicting it was going to fail, you didn't say that Hollywood should die then. You attacked me and said that Disney didn't make movies for me.

The difference between you and me on this matter is that I actually don't watch movies or TV except for the rare occasion I'm watching one with my dad or my brother. If Hollywood actually did die, it wouldn't affect my life at all. I don't know what you'd do with your free time if you weren't able to pirate all of those movies though. Probably just post even more dumb shit on this website.

It's impossible to ever have any real discussions with you because all you ever want to do is get into arguments that you never win and you constantly move the goalposts because you have no ideological core and you spend all day, every day contradicting your own arguments. We've seen you do this with posts you put in 2 different threads in the RWED only 5 minutes apart from each other.

You're a fuckin' goofball.

The big question about Lightyear is who is sticking it in who's butt for kids to see.

The second biggest question is has Disney tarnished their brand so badly that they will have their first Toy Story flop.

The third biggest question is will Disney learn from their mistakes when it doesn't meet expectations.

Expectations, 6ix? This is NOT Toy Story 5. Disney will be fine. The trailer for Lightyear hints that the scriptwriter saw Planet of the Apes. Buzz Lightyear travels at hyperspeed, left only 4 minutes ago, but returns 62 years, 7 months into the future. Things have changed for the worst, but it is not intelligent apes causing problem
