If you don't want to pay for Nat Geo because the money goes to Disney, there are pirated versions of the magazine. For example:

The pirates make other issues available, including Nat Geo Kids, Nat Geo History, Nat Geo Little Kids UK, etc.

As in the movie business, the Disney magazine business cannot handle the FREE Pirate option and stay in business. But if your child does not have a tablet to read Nat Geo from, then the paper version printed by Disney is the only option for children.
