I am sure we all realize by now that you are illiterate, but perhaps you can redeem yourself:
Which CINEMA THEATERS are showing netflix in 2024? Which is the topic title for this thread.

In the past weeks, I saw a TV commercial for a film, and it looked interesting, but it didn't mention what film it was, until the very end reveal that it was Argyle.

First thoughts, only 10 seconds into the trailer...

I don't know why, but I'm immediately impressed and drawn to what I'm seeing. Having "Let's Dance" by David Bowie kicking things off in the background is not hurting the experience.

But then they mention "from the director of Kingsman".

Oh boy...

I'm hoping I'm not immediately disappointed by the rest of the trailer now.

Final thoughts on the trailer...

Thanks for sharing, JSF. That looks pretty damn amazing.

What a cast. And from the little I heard and how it was expertly used in the trailer, the promise of the possibility of a great soundtrack the likes we haven't seen since Guardians of the Galaxy came out back a decade ago.

...

Is this excitement for a movie release that I'm feeling? It's been so long since I've experienced this that I've forgotten what it felt like and I can't say for sure.

I hope the movie lives up to the expectations set up in that trailer. Making a good trailer itself is an art form and we've all been lied to many, many times before...

But maybe it's been long enough to finally let down the guard just a little and actually look forward to something coming out of Hollywood again.

Argyle could very well have the makings of an instant modern classic.

I think Argyle might be ok but part of me also thinks it looks like shit

I'm also not a fan of Pop stars turned actors be they Madonna, Janet Jackson, Snoop Dogg, Justin Timberlake, Cher, Rihanna or Mick Jagger or 'Dua Lipa' or whatever or whomever

Although Bowie I think pulled it off with his weird indie roles

and Tom Waits might have been the best things about that silly ok-ish Dracula movie

From the dumb shit you have posted over the years I'm guessing you are a boomer
Perhaps you can redeem yourself and find a cinema that shows non-Hollyweird indie films

Or Are you still kissing Woody Allen's ass, Warner Bros, Disney, Hollyweirdo and Israel's asshole everyday? and still saying Israel was correct in bombing Americans in the USS Liberty incident??

You call that senile dead old fool RonnieRaygun 'A War Hero' and yet he ran drugs in South American into the USA, pushed flu vaccines, open borders, gun control, gave weapons to Iran, more or less builds up the Taliban of Afghanistan and told the US Marines to run from Beruit with tails between their legs after the bombing only giving strength to Iranians and other jihadists

What kind of a mentally fucked up freak are you
Do you wail and nod at that Wall...maybe you go to the sandbox on vacation...or is it just desert sand stuck in your ears or did you get brain damaged at some point
Do you still cheer now when Israeli-Jews bomb American hostages in Palestine?

Hollywood is over, let it die and a new age of America and indie Cinema can be born.

When did people say this old phrase as 'current slag'?

Did you say it in the 1950s???

or maybe its used as current hip slang in Russia in Israel or the Homosexual-Gay-Bars of NewYork and Flordia or something?

I didn't even know her background. Out of everyone in the trailer, she's the one person I didn't recognize and I wasn't even speaking of her when I mentioned how much I like the cast showing up in this movie.

Honestly, I'm always happy to watch Sam Rockwell in another flick.

I wouldn't focus too much on Dua Lipa. It looks to me to be a pretty "ensemble" cast.

From what I can see, I think that Bryce Dallas Howard would be the main character, and everybody else is supporting roles. I haven't seen her in much, but she did star in one of the best episodes of Black Mirror that Netflix made, and I thought she was great in that.
