It's true that the govt. and energy industry of Japan have been blaming Hiroshima for nuclear problems from power plants, etc. but the other side of this is that it takes multiple radioactive events to trigger a severe adverse effect. Taking in trace amounts won't do it. If you live near the reactor or downstream from it, it's an issue.

That's what a ship is, you know - it's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs.

That means staying in that area for four minutes makes a worker exposed to the maximum annual limit of 250 millisieverts per year though no worker plans to work there, the operator said.

The nuclear crisis prompted the government to raise the limit to 250 millisieverts per year from 100 millisieverts.
