Well its "really" only a month after the USA (They get it at the end of September, we get it at the start of November - only the month of October in between!) It gives our BDHs a chance to come over and see us for the opening of the movie. Otherwise, they would be busy promoting their lil hearts out in the States and we would be hero-less!

Trust me, I am as gutted as everyone else that its so late and I am just trying to make myself feel better but at least it IS being released. I thought we had lost every chance to see the continuation of the story when Fox killed the show. So its still a bonus of sorts.

If you go to www.starfury.co.uk you'll see that there is going to be a "Serenity 2" in November, so all you UK fans will get a second chance to see some of our BDH's again. Lucky you! (I live here on the East Coast with no chance of ever meeting any of them. )

Hmm - if these are correct, I would expect that Serenity will hit the UK a little earlier than 4 November. They have to translate for the continent, and tie in promotional tours, but I would have thought the UK would get it the same time or the week before.

If not, I'm definitely visiting my friend in Holland to save 7 days of waiting... (if you're lurking, that's a heads up!)

All I can say is that I got the information for the release date from the person at UIP marketing the BDM and was told it was okay to release the date to fans as the current date for its release in the UK and that it is on their calender ready. The reason I get the info is because I run Summer's website, the information is accurate as presented by the company responsible for promoting the film.
