The national dept is a huge problem in the long run, but the problems we face are coming sooner than you might expect. All of the quantitative easing the Federal Reserve has done in the past few year has resulted in a stock market bubble that is about to pop. The Fed Chairmen has already said in Congressional testimony that the money printing might stop sooner than they previously expected. Removing the zero percent interest rates gives stock investors the possibility of a decent return without as much risk and will mean a huge sell off in the market. On top of that the huge profits banks are supposedly making now are really just phoney bookkeeping and zero percent money from the Fed. Interest rates going up a couple of percentage points will result in insolvency for every major bank in The US unless they can come up with some new way to cook the books.

Wait! Let's have another WAR!!!
Sure! That's the ticket! We can work through our debt by having someone OWE us something for defeating an enemy! THAT has been our big mistake- not charging for being the world's police!

Chris, you're still the smartest one here. No one could ever convince you to agree to a peace treaty with those tin-plated, gall-monging Cylons.

Trouble is Obama's toaster doesn't allow the toast to ever pop up. It just stays in and burns to a crisp.
There IS no one demon in all of this.
Thanks for letting everyone know for the tenth time why you "hardly come here any more." Yes Bush started the debt problem, but Obama's only made it much much worse. And Bush didn't use the IRS and the Justice Dept. to go after his political opponents, and his critics in the Press. I only wish he had. But your beloved liberal Democrat did, and now his nose is stuck deep in the honey jar.
Really? The IRS didn't go after any "liberal" groups during Bush's time in office?
The Justice Department didn't have ANY scandals about politically-motivated firings during Bush's presidency?
Wow. I had no idea.
I know, I know - since you brought up Bush, I'm going to hear all about how I'm obsessed with Bush. (My wife might agree with you, but that's a different story)

"I was wrong" - Hero, 2012
Mitt Romney, introducing his running mate: "Join me in welcoming the next President of the United States, Paul Ryan!"
Rappy's response? "You're lying, gullible ( believing in some BS you heard on msnbc ) or hard of hearing."
