The only thing that I could say that was ever close to that for me was knowing that my Uncle had killed himself when my Dad called to tell me. I think that was more intuition than anything else though. When we were both living at my grandmas for a few years before we had really bonded and become like brothers. I moved away for a great job and rarely came in to visit anymore. The last time I saw him he gave me a big hug, which we never did. I thought he had just really missed having me around at the time, but when my Dad called me a week or so later I just had a feeling I knew what he was calling me about.
It's strange. It's like I knew, but I only knew right that second. My uncle had a past when he was younger but as far as I knew he had never attempted it while I was alive. I didn't have any worries he was going to do it or I would have told my Dad at least.
I really miss that sonofabitch. One of the smartest people I've ever known.

I've only cried twice that I can remember since I've been an "adult". Just a little one when my Uncle passed and that finally set in after I found a tackle box he had left for me with some personal stuff in it and an ounce of weed he decided he wasn't ever going to have a need for anymore.
When my grandma died of cancer a few years back I cried like a baby. It was like I couldn't turn it off. It was exhausting. It made me wish that I could cry more, actually. I didn't get to see her before she passed and it was the closure that I needed. I do find myself occasionally dialing her number still from time to time, though I do catch myself before I actually send the call. That's always rough. :(
I feel for ya, Brenda. I know how rough it is losing somebody you really care about when you're not exactly fond of making new close relationships.
