Does Anybody know whether the doctor has a middle name, because I was thinking it should be james, so the Doctor is "Dr S. J. Tam", what do you think ?...

Personally, I think it should be a "P" for pompous. It is the best middle initial ever.

I suspect it's something a bit more "hippie". Simon is a very serious, proper name, River is what you name your child when you give birth to him/her out of a Volkswagen Beetle. I think the parent's compromised and each got the first name on one, the middle name on the other.

So how about Simon Rainbow Tam?

I've long been fond of "Trustworthy", so I'll second the "T".

If we're gonna name him like the Phoenix's name all their kids, then go for Joaquin. Simon Joaquin Tam?
I kinda like it.

It's Simon Hoban Tam.

It's no surprise that Simon Tam and "Wash" Washburne both have the name Hoban, as Hoban will become the second most popular boy's name by 2450--after Jayne.
